Bonneville Landspeed Racing - Let's Try a Thing.

Heads flowed today 360cfm at 0.900 lift. My plan for 4.375 bore may be a bit small. Room to grow with them. The intake manifold flowed 350cfm.
Did you get numbers for the full lift range?
Exhaust numbers?

Do those heads have 2.19 or 2.25 intake valves?

Was the intake tested by itself, or on the head?

I am waiting on the print out of all the numbers, the guy flowing them is off bear hunting. Thought it was best to gather up my parts before surgery and things get misplaced over the next few months.

2.25/1.81 valves.

I am not sure if intake was on or off the heads

Another piece of the puzzle.

What’s the list number?
8896-2. I believe it is a 3 circuit system. Not sure if i should be using a 2 or 3 but 3 is what I have now

D-day. Heading to hospital in 30 min. Surgery at 7:30am. I will update when I can. Fingers crossed

Spray bar valve covers came!

Still very sore, but doing all the moving around I can while being careful.

For anyone interested. CMR landspeed streamliner Bolivia attempt. 19mile perfect course. 10 miles of race, 9 mile shutdown.

Well, being the outer bandage didn't come off on its own, I needed to peel it off. About a 4" incision just above the left collar bone. Looks like he sneezed in the middle of the cut, or something. WTF

One requirement is fresh air intake for a closed cockpit. A small scoop, raised section on the roof could work twofold in helping with slight oil canning in the roof panel, but I worry about the location if there was an engine fire. Would I be directing fire/fumes/smoke directly at me. Rules wise it will be ok fir initial runs in Time Only, but it could be illegal for CGALT. Have to look more into it. I do have a message to the Chief Inspector for thoughts.

NACA ducts in the side glass won’t work?

Yes they will and I have some. Was trying of ways to kill 2 birds and reinforce the roof skin at the same time. I have a couple more ideas to ponder. Nothing but tine right now

Got my fresh air helmet, helmet blower with hose and Hans type neck support today. More pieces of the puzzle.

With lots of care and breaks, I got the roof panel and beaded panels all welded in. Need grinding. The patch panels below the rea bumper are made, painted and started welding when I ran out of weld gas. Also, have the roof rails fit and Cleco'd.

For anyone doing fab, Steel It paint is amazing. Expensive, but there is enough stainless steel in the paint, it is weldable. No grinding. I picked up 2 cans so I can paint behind the panels. Worked great.

Keep stepping up on the bottles till you get the biggest one you can. I learned that from running out on Saturdays and no gas companies open on weekends in my area lol.
Keep up the good work dude!

I have the biggest bottle for the big Miller welder. This was for the small Lincoln for sheet metal. My weld supply has an outside tank area. Call on a weekend, they will give you the code and charge your account. Good people like that!
