Bonneville Landspeed Racing - Let's Try a Thing.

My new front brakes came in yesterday. Got then installed last night. Getting closer. I hope to bleed them and the clutch on Friday.

Also, cam is on the way. It will be a bit before install, but the price was right.

Cam came today. Can't wait. I am leaning towards the BAM with the DLC bushed lifters.

Feeling very defeated today.

So I have Tilton dual master cylinders for brakes and a single for clutch. All are bench bled, but nothing builds pressure or bleeds. Clutch throw out bearing was leaking, pulled the trans out, repaired and reinstalled. Still nothing.

This back, neck, thoracic issue is disabling. I hurt in places I didn't know I have. Throwing in the towel for today. 1.5 days spent and no closer. I give.

Sorry to hear that, I just have lower back issues every once in a while & have no idea what kind of pain you're in but keep your head up, you'll get to your goal and whatever delays have happened will all be forgotten.
I know about delays, it's summer and my car is just sitting here, but at the moment there's only one income in the house and it's mine 7 days a week and we're averaging 95 so far this summer.
I was never cut out for heat, but I'm grateful I can, even if it barely covers the bills

Watched a couple videos from Tilton and read up a bunch. I can get it to eventually get some pressure to the rear 1 time, bleed then gone. I cracked all blenders open and seeing if gravity will do it for me. Paying for yesterday bad, but I just can't leave it alone with not knowing what's going on.

Even the hyd throwout bearing. Measured everything before install. Shimmed as it should. Bench bled the brand new master. I can watch it move "some" then no pressure being applied.

Nothing leaking in either system.

Ok....it seems like it may have found the issue!!!

The resiviors aren't high enough. Too close to the same height as thr master cylinders. Once we get through this, then I will have to sort out how to mount it higher

Your persistence, while in pain, is admirable. I knew you’d figure it out. It’s 100 degrees outside here, so I’m making excuses to not go outside and work on my junk.

Means a lot Mike. Its only mid 80s and 90% humidity here. You have been busting *** yourself. Breaks are ok my friend.

Just don’t wear yourself out and end up hating it.
I understand. I don't hate the car. I hate where my body is going, and what i can't seem to do versus just a short while ago. The issue from the weekend was frustration and defeat, but mostly for myself. Why couldnt i find the issue. It is a simple system. Fatigue working on things, and not thinking straight. I am excited about tomorrow's appointment. Fingers crossed for resolution

So, what kind of CFM are people getting from Ported 452s? Porting template? Porting the 452s sounds horrible, but may need to go that direction at least to start. Can they be taken out to MW ports?

Or I have some 516s - Can they be used on a 1968 383hp? I think those are supposed to be 10:1 with positive deck height. That would up compression and some quench

Had my annual physical today. Other than everything that's wrong, all is good.
