After the three coats of primer went on we sprayed some guide coat over the whole car. It's like a visual aid for the final blocking to show us where the high and low spots are. One more good blocking job to the car and it's ready for paint.

We finished blocking that Saturday morning, then it was time to push the CUDA into the spray booth. We spent a few hours tapeing it off and getting it ready to be sealed. I even got the arm rest bases in there for paint. Thats Terry he did the paint work.

After everything was taped off a layer of sealer was put on, while it was wet it gave us a last chance to see if there were any major imperfections. Last step before the color goes on.

I had some time to play with the CUDA today. First things first it received its first bath. Then I put on my FABO decals and the AMERICAN FLAGS. And I still had time to put on the rocker moldings. I had a great day, I love playing with this car.

Thanks for all the great comments everybody, I do love this car and I'm havin a blast with it. Any how this is what Terry and I did with the stripe job. After we were done he informed me that this was the first stripe job that he had ever done, I think we did allright.

Had some time the other day, so it was time to finish working on the motor. Got the oil pump and pickup on, the oil pan and intake on, got it painted and ready to install. Won't be long now.

Thanks, here are a few more. Thats my son in law Jay in the back ground, he is very eager and wants to learn and help so when the CUDA is done we can find one for him.

Weather was so so in Michigan today, a little wet but not snowing and not very cold. So I went out and fired up the CUDA and let it run for a while, got the front end aligned, put my new plates on and had a tail pipe made and the resonator that I got from Dales Cuda shop installed. It's a little quieter but still sounds good and I really like the look. Also I received my carpet today from Trim Parts, can't wait for a nice sunny warm day really looking forward to installing the carpet. More pictures to come, I'll be driving it pretty soon.

beautiful job,,,,that origanal dark blue interior is a rare option,,was the color of my interior when i found this shelll is that a late model 273?? or a 318 ??

That is a 318, it came with the car when I bought it. The 273 that belongs in it is still sitting on the engine stand in the corner of the garage. One of these days I will tear it down and go through it and if I live long enough it will go back in, for now fun with the 318. Yes those are the wrong valve covers on the 273, they are just on there to keep the nastyness out since I used the 273 covers on the 318 for now.

Well other than a tornado here in Michigan which was close by but I did not get hit just got some hail, the weather has been just great lately. So today I started to put in the new carpeting. This is the first time I am doing carpet so I am going to take it slow. Lots of warm sun shine so I let it bake for a while then put it in. Don't look bad for a rookie. Got to take a break MICHIGAN STATE BASKETBALL IS ON !!!!! GO STATE

Thanks Guys, I bought the carpet through Tamrazs Parts discount Warehouse off of eBay they are out of Illinois. They had the best price and the carpet is from Trim Parts it ran me $319.00 shipped to my door and that was for everything including the console strips. There is a lot of extra carpet on all of the pieces so there is a lot of triming to be done but so far everything looks great. The only thing I changed was there padding was not nearly as big as the factory pad so I took theres off and layed the carpet over the original stuff. The carpet without the console strips was buy it now for $282.00 and the console strips were $37.00 for a total of $319.00. I am not done with it yet but so far so good, I like it.
