Burned a Hole

Dunking in a bucket of water is a bad idea...not for rust so much as making the weld brittle. A balled up damp rag on the other hand works as a heat sink. Draws the heat out at a reasonable rate. As far as rust...no way. It evaporates off within a second of removing the rag.

I honed a brake cylinder, rinsed it with hot water, by the time i carried it 25 feet rust was forming. So, use water to cool it if you want, but it does in fact initiate rust and makes metal brittle.

I have to be honest...i found the upper case "a" (in the title) to be a bit more humorous......any chance of changing it now that we are kinda wrapping this one up? Yknow....put a bunch of hot sauce on it?

Edited from lower to upper....crap! Missed it!
