Well after months of consideration I have decided to Keep the /6 in the hotrod project. Its a 225 cubic inch / , i really see no reason i can't coax a horse an inch or more out of it. I will be shaving the head .090 going with oversized valves stock 340 springs, headers and a four barrell. And after some time looking for a decent cam all a can seem to find in this frozen tundra is comp cams 264s does anyone know of anything better or something i am no doubt forgetting about. I am also in desperate need of some sheetmetal, front floor pans, trunk floo,r and quarter panel patches both sides . PLEASE HELP

I can't help you with the cam. But I can say I got my patch panels from Carquest. They were about the cheapest and most all of the patch panels are made by the same folks to start with anyway.

I also heard 'cross canada' was pretty good for body panels. A buddy of my used them when he did his truck...can't help with the cam though..

Try Flatlander Racing. They've got Isky and Schneider cams for slants.
(Schneider has a half a dozen or more) + lots of other parts you may need.
