It is way to hot these last weeks to do anything outside. Stuck in the house or the garage. Parts trailers and sheds are off limits. Dave got sick from the heat that is how bad it was in the trailers.

Stay safe out there. I was in the heat all day yesterday at the drag strip. I drank a lot of water and Gatorade and still felt like dog poop later in the afternoon.

I almost suggested in the other thread. Investigate getting a portable AC, or build one. buy a nice big (you need oversize) at least a 2T rooftop AC and put stubs on it so you can use flex duct. If you aren't going to run return air that is just suck in outside air and try to cool that you will need a much bigger unit

On a side note, these roll around inside units with one flex hose are junk. They eject hot air from the condenser outdoors, and many/ most have no intake hose for the condenser. This means that the unit is attempting to exhaust air from inside to outside, and this air must be re-cooled and re-de-humidified.

I feel for ya. I can't take heat anywhere near what I used to. Much above 90 and I am done, and short time and then rest some at that.

I went and got a window unit for the shed just so I can go through and sort parts. The problem is the window is to small and its to hot to go out and cut a hole in the wall. LOL.

My garage is nice inside with the AC but my son is using almost all of the space right now. and the parts are all in two sheds. I went to go up in the garage attic . Opened the door and the heat almost knocked me over. Closed the door. Parts are probably all melted together up there.

I remember in my 20's and 30's I could work in direct sun in this heat. At my age now I can't take the sun coming through the window in the house. Getting old really sucks. My dad use to always tell me that. I would laugh and tell him its just and excuse to stay in and watch the game on TV . Now I get it. He is probably looking down and laughing his *** off.

Its hotter than crap here, I worked on my trailer lights in the shade this morning, by 9:00 I was sweating hard and it was only 75 degrees, but the humidity was real high.
Now its around 100, I am inside, the wife and kids are playing in the pool.

Use to work out in the heat all day. Hauled hay, etc. Got too hot one time, (heat stroke I guess). Didn’t think straight for a couple days, and since then I can’t take it. I’ve always heard that’s a one and done deal. Be careful out there.

Just got back from dirt biking in the high desert, was 95. Still can put the 13 yr old in his place at 51! Lol

I’m done for the day.....

Here in ND the heat is in upper 80's and manageable. But the mosquitoes are vicious. I had to bath in deep woods OFF before I mowed the lawn. Luckily the shop is closed and holding mid 70.

Rained all night, cleared and got hot. Maybe mid 70’s but sticky humid. I dont know how you all can handle 90 plus continously.
Mosquitoes are the worst we have seen in many years.
I built a small deck 3 weeks ago, overheated myself. Even now i cant put up with working out in the sun for long.

Not too far from you. Was chasing electrical issues on the wife's car today. Sweating bullets just cleaning up the main power cable terminals. News said officially first we hit 100 since 2012.

I have a friend who broke down in Gray about 6 or 7 years ago at the Krystal. IT was the hottest day of the summer that year. I drove into town and diagnosed it for him. Bad fuel pump. 2000 GMC. I drove him to the local parts store and we got one. He called the rollback and had it brought to the house. I replaced it right in the driveway........and had a heat stroke. I got the job done, but I've never been the same since. The heat was already bad on me to begin with. Red hair, REAL fair skin.....but not it's doubly so. It's a ***** for sure.

I'm not real far from you. I went outside to work on the car around 1 and I made it to 135 lol it was miserable hot my truck said 97 ext temperature and it's about 65 percent humidity it was miserable. I grilled me a steak and came back in the ac!

One thing I've learned, is the water you drink today is the water you will sweat tomorrow. When you're working in the heat, you need to drink a 16 of bottle of water every hour. That's sometimes hard for us stubborn old farts to remember, but heat exhaustion, and especially a heat STROKE are no jokes. I'm as guilty as anybody! :realcrazy:

I got really sick with heat stroke about 30 years ago. The doctor told me to be careful, since I would be more susceptible going forward.
