Looking for a hotel for Friday night. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance!

Depends on how much you want to spend and how near to Carlisle you want to be. Try Trivago and Carlisle PA.

Been going for almost 30 years and stayed in most hotels. Look on the south side (81) of Carlisle. Most on the north are run down. I do know however that the Best Western was remodeled. Friday will be expensive no matter where but call now.

For years I stayed at Shippen Place in Shippensburg. It's a 20 minute drive to the fairgrounds on 2 lane Rt11. No Muss, No Fuss, No traffic. Its even a pretty drive. Quiet 4 or5 story hotel in the middle of town and a nice one entrance parking lot out back. If you ask for a room on the back side of the hotel it will look over the parking lot so you can keep an eye on things.

Same here. With our group of 4/5 they make the stay much more enjoyable.
Last year we stayed in a brand new place up in the mountains, 4 of us cost $120 for 3 days. Nice drive to the back side of the fairgrounds so very little traffic! This year we are staying at a place in Mt. Holly Springs south of Carlisle. Stayed there two years ago but the attached apartment caught on fire so they cancelled our stay, it is remodeled for this year! There is a great bar and restaurant walking distance...

The Shippen Place in Shippensburg is a great place, nice older-style hotel with bar and restaurant.

We stayed at a campground last year in the truck camper. The campground was pretty bad, never again.

The day Carlisle ended last year we booked our Air B&B for this year.

It costs silly money to just own a tent these days!!
Last time I went to Mopar Nats many years ago, I slept on the pickup bed. Too tall to sleep on the seat! :BangHead:
We have this truck camper. We have had it since 2017, perfect for me and my wife.
