I actually didn't know where Carlisle was so I looked it up to see if I wanted to attend. Well, I do want to attend, BUT IT'S IN FREAKEN PENNSYLVANIA!

I live in the Denver, CO area and so it's not practical for me to go to Carlisle. And United wouldn't let me cram that much stuff in the overhead bins! I love to drive my cars..but I'm not fond of long driving trips.

gggrrrrummmblle, ARRRRG!

I'll stop by Colorado and pick you up. It'll just add another day to my trip from Texas. Whatever you buy just ship it back from there. That's what I'm doing.

You have to ride in the back and the rear seat has to be folded down so I can get the tent and cots in there. May be a little cramped but I'll be fine

If I go, do you think for the trip home we can strap a 360 and an 8 3/4" rear to the fenders? Might need a tranny, too. And...and...and

Well in CO you are hundreds of miles closer than I. I'm in the N end of Idaho, try THAT for "car show hell"

Twice now, "The Good Guys" have bitched about my trike, because I can't walk that much. It's much more comfortable than my home done wheelchair

Took an old Invacare frame (thrift store) hacked it all up so it will fit INTO THE TRUNK OF A CAR

Front to rear, new center frame, left and right frame sides, and battery tray

Starting to put it together, using quick pins

Pretty much ready to go. The seat is off a POS "Hoverround" "as seen on TV" NEVER let your loved ones get talked into one of those pieces of absolute ripoff excrement. I think I only paid 50 bucks for the one this seat is off of and THAT WAS too much!!!! Zero ground clearance, will NOT go in grass, and heavy as hell

After all this work.........the trike is MUCH better at car/ air shows, for carrying water and camera gear, for off road rough ground, and I can pedal it some to extend battery life

The chair is rough riding, poor battery life, just generally a pain in the ***.....really!!!

Last year I had about a 5 minute conversation before they would let me in the gate. I didn't stay long as it was very hot. About 1:30--2PM I was going towards the exit to leave, and two morons roared up in one of their irritating golf carts. They run all over the grounds nearly running over dogs, cats, kids, and small giraffes. They wanted to know "did they approve that to let me in?"

It made me damn mad. I told them I don't appreciate getting run down by your crap golf carts, and I was leaving when you came up. They asked me again two or three times and I finally just rode off. I was absolutely livid.

Pffft. before I actually moved here, I would fly down to the show from Alaska every year I could. I did that for close to 16 years & only missed a few years.

Best Mopar Show On Earth.

So it is worth it.

But NOT if United Airlines is your only possible airline.

Ahhhhhh, we have guys showing up from Alaska and Cali, Texas, Maine, etc.... you have to plane for it well in advance!

Consider it an adventure! Get that car in order, carry your spare stuff and some basic tools, getter done! And bring your camera! Penn. has good peoples within.

2,700 Miles from my house. Can't get much farther in the lower 48...
Have to travel to Philly for work 7/12-7/14.
Going to stay a couple extra days, hit the show Saturday and fly home on Sunday
Car won't fit in my carry-on bag though... :(

All these gripes (except the 67Dart273 chair stuff) - at least you guys get time off! Most of the time I am underwater without internet, let alone some travel time-time which is delegated as to WHEN I can take off.

They want you to rent their stuff at $70.00 a day....I just laughed at them and decided to walk it even though it killed me.
