here is what i think! duane needs a good old fashioned boot in the rear.the first thing is those dead lines would be a breeze if he just took the human factor into thought ! treat people decent make them feel good about coming to work and productivity would increase 10 fold the type of work these guys do should be enjoued not endured because of one arrogant a**

pinks takes me back to how it really was in the old days only for money not the car good show but bull sh*t rules

american muscle car same as pinks takes me back to my youth

dream car garage just flat SUCKS!

two guys very technical for troubleshooting and the latest on tools however i have always promoted safety first in the shop these guys get so involved they sometimes forget hope they are reading this!

Too bad for Stacy David, he was a great host, got lot's of ideas for my pick-up, he is a motivator. Well, just my opinion.

Man, I almost forgot about Stacy, I had the honor of meeting him in Vegas a couple of years back. What a great guy. He is just the same in person as he is shrunk down in the box. This guy is down to earth and flat out good people. He has so much energy that it is contagious. After talking to him I about went out into the parking lot of the hotel and started tearing my old GMC apart. Thank god my girlfriend talked me out of it......

Kevin.

Ours is a small community, but it is our friends and fellow hotrodders that make it a big part of our lives. I think that it is sometimes lost on us at times, but it is what keeps me doing what I am doing and living the life that I am. I may never get rich, but I got friends through the good times and the bad. You can't buy that.

You hit the nail right on the head with that statement, Kevin! Even though I complain about the drama and commercials, these shows beat the crap out of what was availible 20 years ago. Which was nothing! I may want to throw my beer at the screen sometimes, but these shows do get me motivated to get off my butt and get into the garage to finish whatever project I have going on, in my way, in my time, drinking the beverage of my choice, glad to heck that I don't have a camera showing every mistake that I make (or Duane supervising!).
But my point is, if these shows get more people involved in the hobby, parts prices come down due to higher volume and more competition among vendors. Good for me. Maybe, even some local politicians may get involved in the hobby (or realise that hot rodders are everywhere and we vote) which may ease fuel prices, keep drag strips from closing everywhere, and prevent us from being legislated out of existence due to draconian emissions, noise, and crush your car campaigns. Wishful thinking! But you never know how things may turn out and whatever helps our community thrive, is just fine by me!

American Hotrod - I'm begining to lose interest. The only thing different about each series of shows is the car.

Overhaulin' - I can't stand that chick that replaced Courtney. Everything else is cool.

Don't really watch anything else.

Well said Revendo.. Real people real life but, I guess that's why it's called "programming". Anyway, couldnt ya accidently "thonk" one of those prouducers on the head to include some more technical info? I'd for one like to see more of what happens in the body shop.

You DON'T want to see what happens in most body shops....................
yeah i worked at a boat shop and man i saw some messed up ideas go out the doors...i'm hopefully going to do bodywork in the future..that should be intresting. I know i talked to my dad about how people drill holes in fenders(like someone did to mine in the cuda) and from what ive heard pulled it out with a screw...wow he said well when u are short on time, and have to get it done you dont do it the 'proper' way. I'm not a fan of mega body filler either...in my auto body class someone bondo'd there hole hood for a mustang...aww and the whole quarters :silent: :cwm10:

The holes were drilled for a slide hammer. It was very common, especially in those areas where you could not get to the back side of the panel. There are other tools available today, though.
