Cast iron exhaust manifold cleaning

One thing I'll say, is to make sure to seal the unused can up GOOD! I put saran wrap on inside, then the lid.
That works pretty well but let me tell you what I do. I always store cans of paint upside down. A can of paint that is stored right side up can still allow a tiny bit of air to leak in around the lid and a tiny bit of paint fumes to leak out, even if it appeared to be sealed well. If that same can is placed upside down, air and solvent fumes cannot get past the lid because liquid paint molecules are much larger than air and paint fume molecules. This works great but do it ONLY if the lid seals well. That's why I am always careful popping lids off. I know that some of you are going to say BS to this, but it does work.

BS :poke: I'm willing to give it a try. I buy the stuff in the tiny six pack cans. Poke a hole in the side down low and seal it with a screw. Works for me.

What advice I give here Mike, I may not necessarily repeat at home lol. Take my "advice" at your own risk lol.
But seriously the BBQ works great for baking parts(when done discreetly)
Are you saying that our wives are not supposed to touch our BBQ grills? Good way to get yourself in trouble.

I got caught cleaning some dirty (but fortunately not greasy) car parts in the dishwasher once. I wasn't expecting my wife to get home until about 5:00. She was out shopping with a girlfriend. The friend went home early as she was feeling ill, so Karen came home early. She said, "Thanks for running the dishwasher. Then she saw there were still dirty dishes in the sink. She got pretty steamed. I promised never to do it again (that she would know of). But that dishwasher did do a nice job!
