Cast Iron Intake Torque?

However... In regards to the 5/16 statement...
What size are early sbc rod bolts and what is their torque value?
Food for thought.

I bet they are the SAME ase grade 8 engine bolt. .

And heat cycle hardened for 50 yrs.
But this thread aside..
Drop one and listen to the high pitch sustain as opposed to a grade 5 from today. Steel was just better then.

I bet they were grade 3. Restoration stuff wasn't graded but grade 3 is pretty common
