Have someone willing to pay me roughly 51k for my un-original in very good condition 1969 notchback. Has a built 512ci motor with low miles, full qa1 front end with K member, rebuilt trans, custom drive shaft, 8 3/4 rebuilt with suretrac. decent interior with Corbeau front seats... I think the reason he is willing to pay that amount is because its what his dad had back in the day but loves the modifications that have been done. Am I making a mistake?

Sell Sell Sell. You will always have regrets but you will have a fat bank account to show for it. There are a lot of cars for sale out there if you want another.

unless it has some kind of sentimental meaning or attachment for you? i'd be hand delivering that to the dude's driveway and choochin' out of there with a few burlap sacks that had $ signs on them.

Sell baby, sell!

Then but a cooler car 67 dart convertible perhaps! (not mine and I'm not selling one)

Open market would be little over 1/2 that.

Fastback would be different story.

BUT, do you want another just like it. What would that cost you to make it again? How much of your time? Labor has gone up?

I'm gonna sell my 67 notch only to throw the money another direction, savings be damned. Neither if us should be concerned with the buyers motivation. Have you ever been asked why you want to buy a thing? Want or need to re spend the money? Sellers motivation to recoupe coin should be kept secret.

If it's really, really beautiful then a lot of these places are selling Resto Mods fro 80-100k.

That kind of cabbage you can buy 2 projects and start again. Hopefully you buy one again that has a sentimental owner for another big score buyback down the road. Eventually you will have that historic fantasy Hemi car you always wanted.
