correct oil pan

i picked up a 71 scamp with a 440 in it. it has a milodon deepsump oil pan now,and my ground to pan clearance is only about 3 inches. i'm affraid i'm going to bottom out and tear it off. someone told me i can use a stock oil pan from a c body car. can anyone tell me if that is right?

Yes...stamping number 699 or 187. They have an indent to clear the idler arm.

I'm looking to get $75 plus shipping. I used the press to take the big dents out of the sump and it has been through my hot tank. There's a little surface rust (more dusty than anything).
