Does it irk you……………

"Posi"s...?
Maybe I'll mutter something under my breath about putting a Chevy rear under a Mopar... but if they brought beer I let it pass. If they didn't, I tell them to not come back until they do- 'cause I can't listen to that **** when I'm sober.
If it's in a post and I start seeing posi, axels, breaks; or some run-on non-punctuated gibberish that makes no sense I pass on by, because if they can't invest the time or effort to compose a coherent message, they sure as heck won't invest the time and effort to accurately perform any kind of in depth automotive work.

are wheel discs and hub caps different. Yah, calling a sure grip a posi irritates me.
probably wouldn't want to call a guy named Roy...Ray either.

You know it must have irked someone since the old intakes, vavle covers had "Say Why-And" cast into them.
Those are some cool vintage parts

You can’t blame people for some words being mis pronounced. The name Weiand is one, how about Kiesler? I’ve heard it said Key-Slur and Kye-Slur. Milodon…. Mill-O-Don or Mile-O-Don?

My kind of guy right there.
When I see someone start a thread asking for help and butcher the heck out of the language, I put the thread on IGNORE. If the guy posts a lot with the same bad habits, I IGNORE the member. I used to get caught up berating people that come across as total idiots but that made moderators mad enough to bench me for it. I have to IGNORE the dipshits to avoid the temptation.

In the most unbelievable way.

Also when anyone refers to a internal combustion Engine as a motor. Motors are electric. Or a mode of transportation.
oh my.........you went and said it.......thank you.....but most are not going to be repaird of the motor branding......

Guilty on this!!!

I’m from the country and that’s the what my granddaddy and daddy called them!

As an 80’s teenager… anytime someone pulled up in a car… we always asked.. “what size motor you got in it!”

So apologies again but I still say motor when I'm referring to an “Engine”

Sorry but you are wrong. A motor converts electricity into motion, and an engine converts fuel (like gas or diesel) into motio

Dogs are mammals but not all mammals are dogs.

Websters dictionary begs to differ with you saying a motor can be electronic or fuel.

Not to mention the term fine motor skills, in this case motor does not refer to a device but rather the human body, ok maybe we can be thought of as a electro mechanical device that is fueled by converting fuel into electricity. Wait.... Humans are hybrids????
