It likes to be shifted around 5k. The tach will keep climbing steadily, however, beyond 5k it's left the powerband of a stock 318 cam LOL. Actually, at the 3 min 05 second mark of the video, you'll see me shift at 5400 rpms. Still sounds good, clean, and the tach is climbing right on up there. As for the OD, it's crossed my mind a time or two, but at this time the truck won't see enough street time for me to believe it will be worth the swap. We'll see...is it pulling at 6K or just floating there? what is it, harmonics?
how about an overdrive trans?
