Duster 727 trans sensor / wires

Hey guys, can anyone identify what these wires do connected to my 727 ? I have a 74 duster something tells me this is a later trans..

Yup, as above. Center wire provides ground for the starter relay, outer two switched together to power reverse lights.
 
This is the switch it's attached to. It is correct for your application but there are a couple of other obviously different ones which use different connections.

That's quite the crack repair on the trans! There should be a number stamped into the rail just above the pan, take part of that number and enter it into this 10,000 day calendar and it'll tell you the day it was manufactured.

Mine was PK 3681054 4385 6669



When I enter 4385 into the calendar it shows it's from July 30th 1973.

Thx for the link I’ll get the numbers and plug them in.. weld was there when I got the car so no idea on the story there..
