I just painted my long block today, PPG Delfleet Essential Commercial Coatings, School Bus Yellow. My car will be painted black and I love how school bus yellow pops out with black. I will paint my bumble bee stripes that color too! Will post high quality pictures once I bolt everything on, these were taken with my phone.

I've done a few yellow engines and they would be my favourite.

My black 69 notch 440 cuda has a yellow engine but in an orange engine bay.
Black engine bays are for lazy GM owners IMO.

Here's the latest I've done.
A mate described it as "a pink marshmallow in a bowl of custard"=D>

It used to look much better than this. The paint in the engine compartment has taken some abuse and the engine has been out of the car a few times for upgrades.

The block is Street Hemi Orange, The heads were slapped with some Aluminum Paint (ran out of Hemi Orange).

Ignore the battery held in with a bungee strap, I borrowed the Battery from my Diesel to start the car temporarily, and didn't want it falling into the fan so I strapped it in quick.

The engine is out of the car at the moment, and I'm prepping the car for fresh paint.

Not my 340, it my 383. Sikkens Basecoat Clearcoat, works like a charm, easy to make or match almost any colour you want and stands up nicely.
