I agree with the many here that just throw them away. I have noticed no drawbacks to doing so.

No difference between 904 and 727! 9" all 340, 9" 318 80 and earlier, 9" 360 75 and earlier, 10" 318 81 and later, 10" 360 76 and later.
Are you sure the TTIs dont interfere with those braces? Then why won't the braces on a factory 318/904 combo fit anymore when you replace that 904 with a 727? Same motor....didn't move. All that was changed was the flex plate, the transmission, the driveshaft, and TTI headers. The flex plate, the driveshaft, and the TTI headers didn't have a damn thing to do with the braces.....so what does that leave?
Spoken like a true hoarder...........Don't throw them away, send them to me and I will save them then 20 years down the road when people decide they want them, I will have a pile of them.![]()

Maybe '71 is the transition year.Nope. It was a 71 Challenger. JH23G0B....factory 318 car. The 727 that replaced the numbers matching 904 came from a 71 Demon 340 car. Same year model transmissions, and the 904 braces were not long enough to bolt back up to the 727. The lower bellhousing area of a 727 is larger, and shaped differently than the lower bellhousing area of a 904, and that is why the braces are different.

It might be something specific to the battleship it came out of. You may have to hack it off there to make it fit the Duster......if the brace fits the 904. Well that's a fail.
I was going to leave the cute little starter shield on there.
Then I couldn't turn the steering wheel one direction..... Got under the car to see why....
Obviously wasn't made for an A body car
