foods that cause anxiety

What do they have against short people. I'm well under 5 feet but I don't drink that starbucks garbage
My wife is 4'-8" but she's Latina. Her culture normally eats healthy food. If anyone has ever gone to a Latin festival, the food they sell is watermelon, corn on the cob, fresh coconut, avacado salads. A fair in the U.S. sells funnel cakes, deep fried Oreos, and bacon on a stick.

It’s just a theory I have about the younger generations. I have been noticing everyone is a lot shorter now compared ten years ago and tens years before then. The availability of coffee and energy drinks, sodas should be monitored for the youngsters because it might be having a effect on there growth. Hence I always felt the government does not care about the youth and having them them short and weak is easier to control. Like what was being said earlier about how milk is not milk anymore and meat and chicken can be made modified and made in a laboratory losing its natural benefits for humans.

Lol it’s just some idea I came up with of course there’s genetics and all that involved with a persons height etc.

I agree. If someone wants to lose weight or become healthy, it's not something you can do every now and then. To be effective, your whole lifestyle needs to change....

I used to be a fitness instructor back in the day. Everyone came into the fitness center wound up and ready to start a healthy chapter in their lives. But after they found out how hard it is to create a healthy lifestyle, 90% of them dropped out and went back to sitting on the couch with potato chips...
I learned that lesson running 911 calls in San Francisco. You can't save anyone's life.
****** addicts, stupid people, lazy people, suicidal people et cetera.

On the flip side, some food in the usa is healthy. I'm east Indian and I was raised vegetarian and that is probably why the national average in India is under 5 feet. Then I came here and started eating beef and yummy hamburgers. I think I'm stronger now and have overall better health.

Sure there's a lot of junk to eat in usa but in life we all have choices to make. I am particularly fond of sonic burgers.

The best thing about the usa is you eat what you want, no guilt, no weird looks, no lectures, just pure eating freedom. :usflag:

I'll have a burger and fries in my dodge at the sonic.... I love it

The big problem in America is sugar. Sugar is bad for your mental health and causes inflamation and various health issues. Portion size, and lack of exercise are high on the list too. We eat too much at one sitting, and too many processed sugary products. Soda, regular or diet, is no good. When you're older like me, small meals are best.
Orange juice is bad for you to as a 8 oz glass has 21 grams of sugar.

I really like this post^^. A "taste" of two different worlds, and a testimony about it.

At 18 (now 19), she should be making decisions for herself.

And folks wonder why healthcare premiums are what they are.
Health care premiums are where they are because of corporate greed. Insurance companies make big profits.

My best friend's 16 year old daughter was overweight. But instead of making her exercise and eat healthy, her father imbibed her with pharmaceuticals (after all, who wants to do tedious exercise when they can just buy one of the many weight loss medications drilled into our faces on TV every day..). One of the side effects of the weight loss medication was deteriorated cartilege. So at 18 years old she's had both knees replaced and is still overweight. They then took her off of that medication due to the negative side effects. She was still overweight, so they gave her a new weight loss pharmaceutical instead of exercising and eating healthy. But the side effect of the new medication was diabetes. So now, at 19 years old, she's got two replaced knees and diabetes, walks around on crutches, and is still overweight.... When I saw them last weekend, the father gave her a six pack of Coca Cola, and she drank the whole six pack in 30 minutes...

Pm me if necessary, but if you know, I'd like to know what specific meds she was on.

I don't know. I've tried to distance myself from the whole dilemma, because you know that parents always think they know what's best for their children. But people on the outside looking in at a messed up family may have other views of what's going on....

But like another poster said before, the mega food companies and also the pharmaceutical companies have Americans by the balls. Mega food has designed and normalized food to make us sick, and pharmaceutical companies have designed and normalized medications to keep us sick.... If anyone here thinks that big pharma is pumping out a new medication every month because they care about the health of Americans, then you are sadly mistaken... Americans are sicker now than they've ever been. If the pharma companies actually made medicine that cured our sicknesses, then they'd put themselves right out of business.

The last time I went to the doctor he asked me how many medications I was on. I said zero and never was. He almost fell out of his chair. I asked him why he was surprised, and he said because very rarely does he get a customer that is not regularly taking some kind of pharmaceutical... Very sad...

100% this. I asked because my old lady took Ozempic and now has joint problems.

I'm on blood thinners because I got a dvt and pe last year, but I don't have any side effects from the meds. That's worth it to avoid a stroke or some crap but if I had to go without it, I could.

To many people are on 19 meds at once and typically, there's nothing wrong to begin with that just facing your problems can't fix

I agree. I think it has come down to the fact that doctors are no longer doctors, they're drug dealers. A person gets on medications for being overweight and doesn't want to exercise, and experiences bad side effects. So the doctor prescribes an additional medication to counteract the side effects of the first medication. The second medication comes with bad side effects, so the doctor prescribes a third medication to counteract the side effects of the second medication.... I'm not even a doctor, but I can name three people I know today that are experiencing this same scenario. So multiply these three people by the millions of other victims in the U.S. who are imbibing lots of meds every month, and you end up with a billion dollar pharmaceutical industry that's taking your money all the way to the bank.

I think it says it all right there-"customer".
Watching all the ads on TV for medicine; ask your doctor. pretty soon, you'll walk into his office and it will be lined with all the "as seen on TV" products. What can I help you with today? Just my opinion.
I was on asthma medicine and needed a refill. Doc said to stop in and he would refill it without a checkup. Watched him walk across the office to the copier, lean on it in what appeared to be an out of breath moment. Decided there I was down unless it was an emergency. Changed some eating habits, found some supplements. Maybe I just out grew it, but no daily snorts or sprays.

That's my mom in a nutshell. Can't get it out of her head that doctors aren't trying to cure a problem they're just trying to sell you more meds. Every time I talk to her she has to say something about a medical issue she's having, just went to/going to the doctor, trying a new medication. It's been the same crap my entire life and it's super frustrating yet heartbreaking at the same time. It's impossible to help someone who doesn't want to help themselves.

That also causes me to be a bit triggered by my wife's habits. She takes ibuprofen almost daily for whatever random aches and pains, I give her a lot of crap for it because that's not what it's meant for and she knows it and chronic use is bad for your health. She has clinically diagnosed ADHD and takes Adderall for it. She knows once we start trying for kids she's going to have to get off of it and I'm going to do my best to keep her from having to get back on it again. There has to be other ways.

I'm not free of guilt myself as I take sertraline and Clonazepam for anxiety but I take the lowest possible dosage you can get. I know I wouldn't need it if I could make some lifestyle changes to slow things down but that's basically impossible right now and modern life in itself is just horrible for mental health overall. So much to do all the time and there's not enough time in the day...

Texas is banning lab-grown meat and other chemicals that we should already know are bad for us. It's a sad day in America when the government has to make our food decisions for us, because we can't decipher if lab-grown meat and Redbull energy drink is good for us or not....

99% of the food in the supermarket (including meat, fish, chicken, vegetables, fruits) is designed to make us dependent on pharmaceuticals.... I'm sure I'm not the only person who thinks he eats very healthy and wakes up with no energy, gets fatigued easily, experiences brain fog regularly, etc, etc....
