Future 360 cylinder head upgrade parts

They cut the 45 a mile wide on the Chinese heads.
1st thing I do is a stone drop to clear the chamber and ledge, then open the 45 up, enough to cut a 32 above it..5hen narrow the seat with the 60 pushing it out more on the face and then a 75 below the 60 ... then just blend the short turn and bowls 90 cut.

Recut SM intake seat………
30/45/60/75, mild bowl blend.

Different head bolts or studs for the Edelbrock heads. Also if you plan on running exhaust manifolds. The 340 ones (ar least) can hit the head on the drivers side where it curves around the steering shaft. No big deal to solve, but I wouldn’t go grinding on the head. I just bought longer boots and studs and a header flange. The 1/4” header flange spaces the manifold out enough to clear.

You can't find anyone who doesn't worship aluminum heads nowadays...but with all this aluminum head chatter i am glad i had my X heads rebuilt and ported!

I’ve basically stopped taking on any big porting jobs, especially on iron.

My “last” set was a pair of T/A heads.

Hey Dwayne, if I may ask...how old are you now? I'm 53. My Dad just turned 76.

Me too! But 40 lbs off the nose and better flow potential and repairability. Hard to argue against aluminum. Practically speaking.

40 pounds isn't anything unless it is a dedicated race car and increased flow can hurt lo rpm performance on some mild builds. Some guys think the aluminum pieces look awful on a classic car.
