A few days ago the UPS guy showed up with a box. Around here, that's nothing unusual but most of the time I expect them. This one I didn't. Look what was inside!

Chrysler Parts indeed!!! :-D The timing was perfect too since I'd just torn into a couple other customers' boxes to start their parts outgassing ... it looks good there with those Hemi and MP valve covers doesn't it??

I was filthy from the morning's work so I didn't take it out of the bubble wrap and defile it, but I had to see what it looked like plugged in. Wow!

So the background story is that Evil340 posted the Chrysler Parts signs for sale in a thread awhile back and I offered him a Gift Certificate in trade if he wasn't able to sell it somewhere else. Apparently GrumpusCreature David saw my post and made some secretive arrangements to get one delivered here. I was VERY surprised and totally delighted at this amazing gift. Thank you both! :-D

So a few hours later Billy came out to the shop and I plugged it in again and showed it to him. We briefly discussed where it should be hung up; he thought it would be great in the Cuda Cave portion of the Garage Mahal but I had to say No ... he never lets anybody in there (except FABO members when they show up :-D) so no one would ever see it. "I want it out here where I can admire it."
So after rummaging around the roller box, a Robinson bit made quick work out of pulling the fasteners (NICELY CONSTRUCTED SIGN Evil340!!!) and the wooden frame got a coat of white enamel so it would stay nice and be easy to keep clean out here in my Powder Palace.
I didn't get any other pictures of it yet though.
The paint was still wet, and the blue powder shop kitten paw prints now permanently embedded into the back wouldn't make the best presentation for my Good Guys' Alert. :wack: But I'll show it off after the second coat of paint, reassembly and ultimate resting place somewhere on my shop wall. :-D Since it's apart, I'm probably also going to line the inside with wide foil so it reflects well and lights up a little brighter.
Thanks again guys. You both outdid yourselves on this one and really, really surprised me! It's a terrific, well constructed present that will never be forgotten and will be displayed with pride.
