Son of a beeeech.
Someone hit the culvert guard.
I did tell the wife that I intended to rebuild the fence around the ditch...
I had a fence around it, it just got to looking ratty so I pulled it out.
The ditch gets water flowing through it in the winter. One of our dogs seems to love jumping in there to play in scummy water so I figured I'd put another fence back up before the heavy rains come back.
THANKS for the motivating push to actually do it.

That culvert guard demo was likely long overdue. I figured anything I can do to help out a buddy. Let me know if you need the other side done.
Uhhh, not really. It was serving it's purpose and somehow survived for 5 years without a single scuff.
