It is a good idea to keep the coil neg wire away from the p/up wires..to avoid false triggering. That is why:
- the pick up terminals on the GM HEI are at the opposite end of the module to the coil wires
- on the Bosch 4 pin module, the terminals are in a straight line, with p/up terminals at one end. Coil neg is on the outside at the other end, to keep as much gap as possible from p/up wires.
- MSD ign boxes have the p/up wires exiting from their own hole, far way from coil wires.
