In keeping my 65 Valiant looking stock from outward appearances I looked high & low for the best place to hide my ignition box. This is what I came up with, worked out well-

it will be hidden but too much of a ***** to get to if ya need to pull it out for any reason. why not the glove box?

That's where I put my electronic ignition module. You'll need to check for clearance on the windshield wiper arms...they swing pretty low.

It's a good idea for ignition boxes and such to go inside. Seems like on the pedal frame would be a bit more outta the way than you might want. Why not simply mount it right on the firewall just above the joint where the floorpan meets it? Maybe on the passenger side just above the foot area. I've put them there before with good results.

I am very happy where it is & will not remount it. It is not difficult to remove at all & interferes with nothing under the dash including the wiper arms. Also I have never had an issue with a failed CD box. Do not like them in the engine bay due to heat. One hangup I have is that I will not cut or drill on the sheetmetal which limits the places it can be installed somewhat.

My glove box is used for the 21 circuit EZ wiring fuse panel. All though mounting my ingition box above the carpet on the firewall doesn't sound like a bad idea. Thanks StrokerScamp.

I have arthritis, and have gotten a bit fat, LOL,
{no crawling under the dash for me;}
so I put mine under the hood, been there for over 6 years.

I think thats a great location and clean install....!!!!!!! I went with an MSD E-Curve (no box) 8)

I could see installing where the glove box WAS or maybe VENTING the glove box, but I'd be concerned with heat from the box, caved up in the glove box.
