Congrats, J par! This is what the hobby is about. I believe he bought a Duster on CL, and through his labor, learning, and money, he now has a 4-speed, dual quad drag car that just turned a 11.50. I think the journey has been as much fun for him as the destination. He now races the car HE wanted to race.
This is what the hobby is supposed to look like. This is how it is to be enjoyed. Whether you want a cruiser, street/strip, or all out drag. Congrats J par.

Yeah. We butted heads at first. I thought he was a bigger prick than me. But he is cool as hell. And done it all himself right, wrong or otherwise, but it was all his way and he made it work. I have much respect for him. He is pretty much the embodiment of what hot roddin is all about.

Thank you for the kind words and all the help - good, bad, or otherwise LOL. Must have been a lot different years ago before the internet to go racing. It would seem you would have had to go to the track and see what other people are trying and try it yourself. Having the Forum helps you get to see from the convenience of your own home what other people are trying and what's working for them.
There is the fact that it loses that Personal Touch of conversation, as in you can't always really read someone from what they type. Lots of times I'll just pm someone my phone number and talk for a few minutes. Well anyway - thank you

keep the faith.....someday you will replace RRR on here with all your knowledge....and another smart *** kid will come along...LOL

cut that dam all thread off...
geez em crow, you do own a hack saw?

Nice car and great job buddy!

ha ha, i call my sister willis cuz she always says dumb ****.

I had a feeling you're talking about those. The all threads actually cut off at the right length but of course everything comes for Chevy's meaning it comes in 4 packs. So I had to buy 3 packs of those T handles that go in the valve covers to get 5 on each side and I had 2 left over and I use them on the top of the air filters.
looking forward to the fix !

if i lived closer id come over right now and cut that off free of charge..

you do know you can buy all-thread at any hardware store?
just cut it above the nut and thread off the nut to fix the threads...

you gonna feal bad when you spear some helpless seagulls or a passing blimp with those....

;)
