Hockey anyone ???

My daughter (hard core hockey fan) went to bed after the 3rd period....that tells ya something..

Drew Doughty gives me a heart attack some times.

The first period I thought he was going to single handed give the Rangers 3 goals.

Then he'll make an amazing play, like his goal...

Tells me she's a Rangers fan and knew what was coming:glasses7: :-({|=

Nope..but we like martin !

If I were a la king fan, I would be wondering....this series isn't over....

And it should have beem a Hawks / NYR final series...that would have been epic..

I'm a Kings fan. But I'm also a Rangers fan. I was there. And I know the series isn't over. And if it were the Hawks and Rangers it would be the same thing you are seeing now. But it won't go to 7 games. If you are a Rangers or Kings fan you saw something last night that was epic. New York played one of their best games. But breakaways are not going to win a game. But you could see the Rangers wearing out towards the 2nd period because the Kings finish all their checks. You know its coming when you have the puck. Rangers have to keep their skates moving. Can't hit what you can't catch. It will be a different game Saturday.

Rangers had there worst period of the playoffs. shots were 20 - 3 for the Kings in the 3rd. that was a game they really should of won.

Kings are bigger and strong but its going to be a battle. I'm a Habs fan but first and for most a hockey fan. I don't bow out and start watching tennis or tiddley winks cause my team lost... this is the best of the best and should be a good series

The breakaways come from the system the Rangers play and they might very well win this series for them , that was not a 1 time deal , they were out of step and couldn't finish or pass to the right spot most of the night otherwise they would have scored 5 in the first , if they get in sync it will be a great series if not LA will steam roll them .

The net was open with easy rebounds...they should have won handlely

He's a talented gambler and tends to come out on top. Very entertaining.

The first game looked like a coaching duel. First game, analyzing and adapting, shuffling lines, strategizing. Sutter won round one. Great stuff. If you're not entertained, go watch tennis or something.

Rangers got to get there speed game going.
get in front of the net and bother Quick. any shot he sees he will stop.

Another OT game, but this one to me doesnt seem as intense as the 1st one.
I'll take Doughty for OT goal for LA and Boyle for NY.

Looks like NY needs 40 minute games.

looked to me like NY needs to make a better offer to the refs , that was embarrassing to the league last night . Remember I want LA to win in 7 but not like that .

Upon video review that call could have gone either way. It is a valid argument that contact with the goaltender was the result of the defenseman pushing him into the goaltender. You can argue it either way but in my view it was not a clear cut missed call. Refs have a tough job. Taking a goal away is a heavy impact on the outcome. When in doubt, the goal should stand.

I like both these teams. I'm amazed at how LA can keep coming back from deficits. The Rangers are using their speed well, lots of chances, just not getting the breaks.

Not intense? Your crazy, this is nuts! OT is crazy!

When I posted, OT hadnt started yet and in my opinion wasnt as intense...yet

I agree Chris, if they call the one against NY(goaltender interference), ya gotta call the one against LA

NY was all over them again, but the goalie interference non-call changed the game. The LA player didnt "interfere" per say, but he did restrict Lundqvist and was clearly in the crease. The refs set the precedent with calling it against NY, so they should have called it against LA.

That didn't go well for the Rangers.

Anyone think they can win 4 straight against the Kings?

Been a Ranger fan since I was a kid, but they lost the series in the 1st two games to me. It's over now. Games 1 and 2 should have been wins and the gave it away in both. Game 3 just sucked ....

Unfortunately my team is the Leafs, but I love hockey and would have loved to see it go 6 or7 games. But the refs took the life out of the Rangers in game 2.

A fan of anyteam never should throw in the towel. As a Kings fan I would have been out of towels by now. I suspect that the Rangers will take game 4. They have heart. The y difference I see between the two teams is the coach. Sutters 'programs' his players. It's kind of wierd but it works. I hate sweeps. And while the Kings put on a lesson in puck speed and control last night(and Quick's goalie clinic) I think the Rangers just need to pinch up just a little on the Kings defense in the Rangers zone so the Kings stop shooting from the point and blue lines. Vigneault needs to let his defenseman fly and shorten his bench. The Kings took 6 penalties last night. Thats their weakness. Rangers have to capitalize on that.

Hockey players never blame the refs. Hockey players take the refs out of the game.
