Hot Rod Magazine

The Pittsburgh Post(Putz) Gazette just closed it's doors. While the employees sued & struck & pretended that they were still living in the '90's, everybody is "shocked", which shows just how F*cking out-of-touch those people have become. There are a lot of very smart, professional, talented folks who have made that paper possible......from the bottom up, but the writing has been on the wall for some time.
They were decidedly left-leaning from ~'90 on up, & the appearance of the Tribune-Review cost them subscribers during their run, but almost no lessons learned. When the specter of instant/online news hovered over the print's own obituary, they all looked away, like sheep grazing while the coyotes eat their wooly flock-mate.

I think the choice of Hot Rod to provide quality over quantity is a good idea. Print and postage is expensive now. Everyone's idea of quality may differ, however. I just started a subscription to Old Cars magazine. It's semi-monthly and seems well put together. I too miss the Hemmings specialty mags and don't really like the regular Hemmings.

The new Hemmings seems to get larger as to their articles every month. Maybe my imagination.
I like hot rods and like the ones built by real guys that do not have 10 million $$.
Just me.

Dan is like the fella that collects centerfolds and believes he's had them.. that's what the magazines mean to him, if they ain't got the right content or "Looks" he's very disappointed.
