Its been a busy summer, no garagetime in three months. Last sunday I finally got time to put fuelpump in the tank. I bought Tanksinc gpa-3 pump and I assembled it in to my old tank. Its a homemade stainless steel tank, about 70litres. Fuel line is going to be 3/8 aluminun pipe and steelbraided hose with An6 inserts. IMG_20190824_202003.jpg IMG_20190824_201959.jpg

Fuel lines and pressure regulator ready and assembled, I made a flow through system.

Ironically, back in around 2002 I built a '68 Dart with a '94ish Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.2L, stock bore and factory heads. Using the .600" MP springs and a (then) custom Comp HE270HR hyd. roller cam (218/224@.050",.536" lift, 110LSA), with "Blue Racer" Ford pedestal roller rockers (adjusts over the pushrod), it would turn 6500rpm like nothing! M1 single plane intake and a 600VS Holley yielded 8.40 ETs in the 1/8 at 86mph, and a 750VS Holley ran 8.30s @88. It had 4.30 gears, but a lazy MP "175K" 11" converter and 727 trans. With an AirGap (not even available yet I think) and a 9.5" converter/904 trans, that thing would have run 7s in the 1/8 and 12s in the 1/4, in a regular weight Dart with no head porting or even an overbore. That sold me on Magnums for budget street duties.

Thats cool, makes me even more anxious to get this thing running! All I need anymore is adapter for the ps pump to hook the pressurehose. I made the hose out of PTFE-hose with AN6 inserts. Ill post pics later.

I also helped a friend/customer of mine do a '70 Challenger convertible, factory 340, that someone had previously rebuilt with '72-up TRW forged slugs. We stuck Magnum heads with .525" MP springs and used a Lunati hydraulic FT cam, 10* smaller @.050" with similar lift and the China air-gappish intake. Same carb and headers, converter etc. Ran like a whole different car over 2.02 J-heads. More power everywhere, and better driveability and MPG in the heavyish E-body. 3.23 gears/727. Magnums really work, and the EQs and RHS/Toplines enhance the conversions even more on 360s and strokers.

Powersteering almost ready. Hoses are pretty close to header, but maby theyll survive.

Wohoo! Got it running! I had some issues; fan didnt start so i had to stop the engine at 198f. Turned out I had the relay connected wrong. And I didnt get the idle speed adjusted, Ill have to try the wizard again when I get the fan connected properly. And I may have a headerleak.... But, great oil pressure and no weird noises, lol.
