Does your Mopar have Line-lock.
Do you use your L/lock?
Does the red "imbalance" light come on when the l/lock is set, and you release the brake pedal ? ( Stage)
Does your 'imbalance" lite go out when you release the l/lock ?
Do you have to get out and fiddle with something to get the "imbalance" lite to go out?
Thank- you . .

I have line lock on both of my Dusters. 1 street car, 1 race car. Never had problems with the balance valve at all.

What's an imbalance light?
Are you talking about the factory brake warning lite.
Sure mine comes on.
I thought it was doing it's job.........

I mostly use my LL as a hill-holder at stoplights, and the switch I use for that, is an on/off switch. It's in parallel with the Momentary-On switch.
So yes, When the front has full pressure, and the back has no pressure, the dashlite comes on. But it goes out again, when the front pressure drops to normal. So for me, it serves as a reminder that, the hill-holder is still on.
*******************************

If it didn't come on, that's when I'd be worried, cuz you know, How would I ever know that my car had suffered a brake failure, lol. I mean besides the pedal going to the floor.... and my front bumper being up somebody's tailpipe........ lol.
For me, that factory-light has always been a gimmick, telling me something I already knew. But as a hill-holder light, it finally has a purpose.
*********************************
Oh, I forgot to mention;
I run 295s on the back, and so, I gutted the Proportioning section from the combination valve; and My M/C no longer has the residual valves in it either. So, whatever line-pressure goes to the front, the same goes to the rear. Maybe that has something to do with it, lol.
Why did I take the residuals out?
Well, my rear brakes now do most of the stopping, and so, the self-adjusting system is always doing it's job. I mean the rear brakes are always on full-standby, just as are front disc brakes. So I wanted to know; is there any chance that my rear brakes are actually dragging and costing me fuel economy (cuz the vast majority of my driving is all hiway mileage.)
As it turned out, I guess they were not dragging, cuz when I put the clutch in at 65 mph, the car will still coast a mile or more before coming to a stop.
But you say;
don't the front disc pads drag 100% of the time.
Well that would be true if you set your wheel-bearings to the factory setting. But not if you run them at the loose limit. Normal driving will knock the pads back, and voila.
But you say;
doesn't pedal-travel get excessive?
Answer ....... not that I've noticed.
Plus, I have a booster. Maybe that has something to do with it. lol.

Question 1...yes
Question 2...yes
Question 3...no
Question 4...doesn't come on at all
Question 5...no
Hope this helps

The avatar has a Line-Lock as does my 69 Charger. Used only for burnouts at the track. Never had any issues with any brake warning lights in either car (but the avatar doesn't have any such lights anyway!).
