How was everyone's racing season?
Lets hear about it.

I never got the car to the track.
Next year I will be going.
New helmet, new belts for next year and that should cover the safety equipment upgrade.
The car has a new 3" exhaust, which should help it breath better. I need to up the jets in the carb.
Also on the winter plans is to trim back the front spring hangers so I can move the Cal-trac bar to the upper hole for more hit.
I would like to get a set of slicks, to replace the BFG's.
28x9 or 28x10 depending on which rear wheels I decide to use.
My 10" rims are Centerline, and the 8" is a drag lite. The front has drag lite's.

Things I would like to do are puling all the glass out and replacing it with some type of lexan. Finding a used set of Fiberglass fenders, doors, and deck lid. Then work on some new paint. But it is dependant on if I find a decent job.

Season is not done yet going to 2 test and tune sessions in the upcoming weeks:-D:-D

the season has just started here in tampa fl. I race at lakeland motor sports park. 1/8 mile trace. and sometimes at sunshine dragways, come down and try our winter season. good luck next yr. Gary

well my season was non existent really...went to a test and tune, broke a bunch of parts due to wheelhop

wheelhop has now been fixed with caltracs, transmission has now grenaded due to it just being a weakling

over the winter car will be getting a narrowed D60 with 4.10's and a 35 spline trak lok
Also pulling out the 340 and stuffin in a 360 roller motor that im building
last but not least, transmission will be replaced by an A833 with a v-gate

Im REALLY looking forward to next year! Going to the track was one of the highlights of my summer! Plan to go alot more next year, maybe even enter some points races

I found more ways to lose then win....but towards end of season the car became consist again....new carb..now i need to work on drivers...

Daugher had a pretty good year...she moved up in the points pretty good.

Next year.....We (I) will remove 360 from 71 Dart, and a new 408 will go into it, should take the Dart and Daughter from low 11s to mid 10s in Vegas....probably going to have to change rear gear from 4.56 to 4.30

I am working getting my 71 Demon done this winter ...hopefully in the next month to have it running... it is getting a 360 engine...that should run low 11s....(not the one from the Dart)...just got the rear narrow a couple of inches on each side...plus new axles showed up today....going to have it on all 4s again ....and then put the engine next week...

Broke some stuff fixed it, bought new parts and hopefully hitting the track next season!

I,ve had a fun year other than my tranny issues. The car runs very consistant 11.0,s,got my 60fts down and will try one last time saturday to get my 10 sec. pass. Then in the garage for frontend upgrades(RMS) and hopefully some new paint. All in all,I had a great season meeting other gearheads and travelling to other tracks.

I started the season off great with 4 wins in a row. In race #5 the rear end came apart on me on the return road after just winning the second round.

After a short MONTH trying to get it back up and and going (feel free to PM about my great experience with Dutchman Axles), I was able to scrounge up 2 Runner Ups and 2 Semi finishes, and a win to end the season and give me the track championship at Emerald Coast Dragway.

Bracket finals was not so nice to me, but I still had fun. I gave back the stripe by .008 in the second round.

This year NHRA Division 2 decided not to run the Race Of Champions at the bracket finals, but instead we get to run at the GatorNationals in Gainesville in March with the big boys, so that is my plan for the winter is to get ready for that fun show.

BTW, thanks to both my dad (MTN Thunder) and my buddy Mark (moparmarkk) for the help with getting the rear end back together!!

I've been doing horse fencing most of the summer. Still not done yet either...lol. I had a customer's engine with a serious issue... Does that count as "doing something"? I did put about 1000 miles on the '65, and one trip to the track in July to watch. But that's it. With luck (and funds) next year will have the '65 with a new drivetrain and I won't have any fencing left to do...lol.

moper, have any pics of your 65?8)

Racing season went good. Finally dipped into the 10's. Going to pull my converter and send it in to get it loosened up. Rebuild the 340 in my duster and make it a 416 and get the engine compartment completely redone. Also going to buy a set of thoes shorty hedman headers for my duster.

Mine sucked big time, stuck in Alberta cars in Nova Scotia(other end of country)

Picked up my car last winter. Was all loaded up in April to go to a TNT at Medford and got rained out. Decided to put the roll cage in which took all summer. Ran two street legal nights at Redding, only made one full pass in anger. Hoping to go to Redding one more time. I have lots of electricle upgrades planned for winter. Ordered a new set of headers, hoping they get here soon. Wife's pregnant with twins, so not sure how much racing is gonna happen next season.

Its been great, plan this winter is new door panels, door seals, signal light switch, and hopefully find a decent rear bumper for the Dart.

had a fun and great season was planning all kinds of stuff for the dart, but I have a baby on the way, so looks like most of the stuff is going to wait

Bad season, I worked too much.

This winter:
Car 1 will get a new engine and trans, bumper brackets installed, interior recovered, and exhaust tips

Car 2 will get the front bumper rechromed, and the clutch pedal modified

Car 3 will get the rear springs replaced, radio, and center console installed

Car 4 will sit in the corner

Car did great,, very consistant. Driver could not cut a light to save his life.I will blame it on a 4 year lay off. Maybe some more seat time...........Ya that's the story I'm sticking to.............!!??%&##

This year I finished up my dual manifold and got my offey and Holley installed and raced her at George Ray one time and took it easy on my 170/ and still ran a 12.07 1/8 mile and capable of a 11.50 I would think, Drove here everywhere this year, She know has over 62k miles now.
This winter 66aCUDA is going to install my new head big valves just a clean port and I think he said 60 shaved off, and recurve a distributor for me.
Sway bar on the rear and get my lower 1/4 on and a complete over all paint job on her is my plan's for winter and early spring.

UPDATE..Weather has been good on saturdays,so have gone to the track for some T&T.The 66 Dart ran 10.93@122mph 60ft 1.52 1/8 was [email protected] hope to get mid 10,s with improvements over the winter.

no season to speak of. just now have it dialed in.killing em on the street though. 6 and 0 . lower gears this winter 410 or 430 had mean intake leak now runs right

I never raced my Dart once this year. I sold my old reliable 340 to my bro-in-law, started to build a 360 stroker, but never got finished. This summer went by way too fast, we are in the middle of a snow storm as I speak!

I've got everything to finish my storker, hopfully will have time over the winter. I've got fully machined .040 360 block, ARP head & main studs, 410ci rotating ***. from Probe(SCAT 4340 4.0" crank, 4340 SCAT H-beams, Probe flat tops 12:1, balanced) Clevite 77 bearings, Mahle rings, melling oil pump, I bought a top end kit from a fellow racer that consists of ported Edelbrock heads, comp roller rockers, comp pushrods, comp 269/276 @ .050 .654/.655 lift solid roller cam, comp solid roller lifters. I will be reusing my M1 single plane intake & Hooker 1 3/4" Super Comp headers. The previous owner of my top end had it on the same 410 ci as mine and dynoed @ 594 hp. My goal is to run close to mid 10's in my 2900 lbs 73 Dart Sport.:happy3:
