This was never used, no writing and all the rolls are un used
I think some oil got on the outside but did not get inside, I will see if it can be cleaned up :glasses7:

I have never ever seen one of these in my life and can't find any info on it.
now we use a computer and before that a clip board :glasses7:
This could be a nice auto collector piece from back in the day of car travel :glasses7:

If you would like this in your collection I will take a chance on it (not knowing it's value and sell for $30 plus shipping from Arkansas 72401.

I am an ol fart but not this old :D

That is neat, and wierd at the same time.
I have never seen one either.

Is it all metal? I have seen the round ones at car shows but none like that one.

Round one on ebay right now.
All metal, and a wrinkle finish, it has 2 separate rolls of paper, one to write notes on and the other for date Idem and cost in the skinny opening, Thank you for the link, the round one is cool also.. 8) I put some joy dish soap on it to see if the oil would come off but I did not want to hurt it, advised by my wife :D

Thank you everyone, Price is dropped for our members here to $25 plus the ride

Obviously not a 'hands-free' device. LOL
I got a kick out of the instructions to "attach to steering wheel spoke with straps, but first wrap tape around spoke will be to prevent slipping". Can't imagine anyone strapping that to their steering wheel to write notes on. Times have changed!
Fun find, Mike.

I would date it pre-WWII because of the metal knobs.

I would agree. maybe a bit younger. Late thirty's too 1945ish...

I am thinking it is a tad newer. In the early days it would have most likely been bolted with some kind of mounting straps. This appears to use a zip tie or something similar to mount it. That texture was used by Kodak among others all the way in to the early 1960s. I am thinking 1950s because of the mounting method.

Whenever it was manufactured, it is super cool.
