Ike was no joke !!!!

Man , I live about 300 miles north east of Galveston and what was left of Ike hit about 7pm last night .... WOW... Cant imagine being on the coast when that thing hit.... SCARY !!!!!

Pretty good here also. Hit about midnight and went till about 6 a.m. this morning. Just finished picking up all the limbs in the back yark. I see the neighbor across the road is doing the same but having to use his tractor. Had to be pretty bad in coastal Texas.

We're dealing with a lot of 30-40 mph winds still today. Toppled the 8' ladder on the porch which in turn fell on the cat food dish (now in about 2000 pieces), knocked over both of my potted tomato plants with about 35 lbs of dirt in each (now all over the deck LOL), and lots of branches everywhere. I'm obviously avoiding the cleanup effort because my butt's planted right here reading posts.

We got the tailend last night 50mph winds,heavy rain,branches and patio stuff blowing everywhere and I,m in Toronto,Canada.I could,nt imagine down there in Texas.Hope all is well down there.
