no real progress some parts are on the way dash pad, taillights rear panel, some interior stuff.
got the trashed out battery tray out and a new installed. have some iron to move to make more headway

found more interesting stuff turns out the pilot car was originally RED then FACTORY repainted silver over the top of the red. i thought it was redish primer underneath but body guy looked at it, told me it was red originally under the silver But would have been factory done , unless the car was stripped down to bare shell before, cant imagine that was done by anyone in the cars prev life
Keep on updating:-D It cool to know theres another red with red interior '67 Valiant out there.

just a little updat parts are coming in got some guys who are experts in pilot cars over to the houise over the Barret Jackson weekend(in town for the auctions) and they said that the car is red factory underneath the factory silver! kinda cool and it also looks like my car may have been used in some advertising for a swedish brochure(artistrs rendering in the brochure but looks just like the car on the outside. early 66 Date codes all over the car as well. the hunt continues

I wonder if it was repainted Silver in order for it to be used in the factory parts' catalogue ?
This is known to have happened ; just look at the pilot 1970 Coronet R/T convertible which was built in April 1969 (!!) : originally it was EB5 Blue , but was repainted EW1 White in order for it to photograph better for the parts' catalogue of 1970 .
It seems the reds and blues didn't photograph well in black & white ( at least back then ) , as those colours obscured character lines and panels .
Perhaps your car was repainted as a "Spring Silver Special" and used as a promo for advertisements ?

not sure ---- it was repainted silver from the factory --- and does show most of the optional stuff shown in the parts book . the weird thing is in 67 parts book is if u look for the front interior shot the book doesnt show it. at all speculation so far seems to be that it is because the car has the factorty "recall wheel" in it as well

I did a google search for " 1967 Plymouth Silver Special advertisements " , and nothing came up , other than some really nice photos of some really nice '67 Plymouths in silver .
Perhaps the car was sent-through the plant twice , in certain stations ( ostensibly , the paint booth ) , as a test for base coat / top coat proposals ...

didnt get a lot done lately what with the holidays and and all but did get all the crap cleaned out and the saddle blanket seat covers off to see what i have to deal with :angry7: what a mess did get all the locks changed(prev owner couldnt find the keys:bootyshathats it so far till i sell a car or win the lottery so i can begin lol :toothy10:
also found one of these hubcaps in the trunk underneath all the rubbish looks like an orig one to the car even can see the part # on it legibly :toothy10:
Those front seats sure looks the same as the ones in the swedish Valiants.

This backseat is from a unrestored low milage swedish´67 Valiant (pic 1).
This is how your back seat should have looked when it was new.
BTW. Your steering wheel does not look like it´s from a ´67 Valiant. The horn button is more ´68 and up (pic 2).
Pic 3 is the stearing wheel is from the same low milage Valiant as in the first picture. As you can see it has the same kind of front seats as yours.
You have a very unique car. Great find!

As for the headrests, I´ll agree with LH23H2R. I have never seen them on a any (swedish) ´67 Valiants.

thanks for the pics!! the steeering wheel is indeed odd, its the 66 RECALL wheel :thumleft: talked to several a body specialists said theyve seen the wheel, (very few known to be left ) but never in a car before. :thumleft:
