Just a repeat of an earlier story, but it bears repeating.

I'm WAS a repeat in-line tube customer. I bought a 5/16 fuell line for a 73 dart sport, and the line rear "bend" did not fit over the factory frame rail. I bent it slightly, and the line broke. The line material was brittle as hell. I called and sent pictures of the line and frame rail to In-line tube.

Now; the line framerail "U" was 2" on the line inside to inside. TOO Narrow. The framerail is 2.5" wide.

They basically told me: Their line is CORRECT, no one has ever complained, and that "our" lines don't break. Sorry..."YOU" are out of luck.

I'm absolutely correct on this one. I told them are you willing to lose a customer for life over replacing a line OR a refund on the line. I told tme, just make the line with a 2.5" U bend. Again, they said no, there is something wrong with my car.....all the framerails are 2". Yeah right......

They said YES. I told them I'd be a cheerleader about my story. they said "go ahead"....we don't care.

Therefore: go ANYWHERE else but in-line tube. they screwed me over.

Thats really a shame. Specialty automotive suppliers should be more supportive, as they likely started out as hobbyists also. To now lose me as a customer as a result of your disappointment with their product, will be the result of their decision.

I bought mostly brake lines and prop. valves from them. I made my own 5/16 fuel lines, since I have the stock on hand. This was the first time I bought the PAF7301, since I didn't have the time to make it.

Brakes lines needed "tweaking"...but in all fairness were fine. Tranny cooling lines? OK too. Just the rear section of the fuel line was made incorrectly.

But the arrogance of saying the line is correct, your car is wrong. Screw you. That's NOT the way to keep a customer. I thought I was being helpful pointing out their line is made wrong. Its made to fit a 2" frame rail. Then they had the B@lls to tell me my car is made wrong. A holes....

Has the same problem w/lines from the Right Stuff years ago. Called them and they sent a newbie, freebie, and I kept the original one. I'd buy from them again.

Good to know. I need to order brakelines and was considering using them. With customer service like that, I think ill go somewhere else.

Sorry to here about your bad experience with Inline tube, thanks for the tip. I have always used The Right Stuff and there products and customer service rocks.

I bought a full set of pre-bent (use that term loosely) brake lines for my '65 Barracuda. I had to adjust every one of them to fit right, even the short little DS front one was too tight. I also bought a junction block from them for converting to a dual master cylinder. What a poorly designed piece that is. It requires one of the front brake lines to come into it at a 90 degree angle so it does not work with the pre-bent set I bought. I sent them an email expressing my concern & never heard a thing back, no response at all. Why would you not design a new one to look, mount & perform like the original & just add the extra line for the rears. I am searching the area to find a machine that can make a better junction block that I designed.
A buddy bought pre-bent (there is that word again) tranny lines from them & they were not bent right. We are at his house, everything is hooked up & ready to go after a winter engine & tranny rebuild & the only thing keeping us from starting the motor & test driving is an incorrectly bent set of lines. So far they have been apologetic & helpful but he shipped the lines back along with his originals to be used as a guide. He had to pay the shipping under the impression that they would reimburse him & he has to hope he gets the right lines & his originals returned. In the meantime, his car is sitting there with the first local car show of the spring this Saturday.
I will not buy from Inline again & will tell anyone that I can not to buy from them either. Companies should focus on customer service in times like now if they expect to survive.

Thanks, I'll be going to "Right stuff" also. good reviews here on FABO

I used to use pre-bent on the projects cars, but after using this on customers cars, where I used to use just regular brake and gas pipe I think I'll just use this.

Guaranteed a lifetime, easy to bend and get to the shape you want. Tricky to flare, though, as it can be a little too soft, but after familiarizing myself with it, it was no big deal.

Very troubling... I have a brand new set of stainless lines I bought from them and a new distribution block I have yet to install. The only pre-bent lines I got were for the front... so don't know if they fit properly yet. I had read mostly good things about them before seeing this which is why I bought from them. Will keep my fingers crossed I guess.

I have all new brake and fuel lines on my car from Right Stuff and it all fit very well.

I also bought rear brake lines that go across the rear axle of my 69 dart from Inline Tube a couple years ago and they did not fit properly and I had to tweak them to fit. I am going to start my next project on the dart this fall and I was going to order fuel and other brake lines from Inline Tube but now after hearing all this I think I'll be trying Right Stuff.

After having bad experiences with two different "pre-bent" exhaust systems and reading stuff like this, I've come to the conclusion that everything that carries fluid (exhaust is air, it's also fluid) needs to be made by hand.

I bought some 5/16" line from Inline Tube back in 2007 or so and bent my own brake lines and used their disk/drum proportioning valve. The valve looks like the same piece that you can buy from Summit or Jegs.

FWIW... make your own stuff or have a reputable LOCAL shop do it.

I had bought Fine Lines SS lines for my 67 valiant & swapped over to the 73-6 k frame & brakes & have to say they fit like a glove. I bought a set for a later car from Inline, same set up & I had to bend & twist them all @ the prop valve which isn't easy to do with the car assembled & took me hours & many bloody knuckles. Go to FineLines

Years ago I replaced the front lines on my 67 using Inline tube and its worked out great. Lately I was replacing the rear lines and had a problem with the ones on the differential not fitting. I sent them back with mine. The front to rear fit ok but the first one they sent was for a drum brake car not a front disc brake car.

Normally, I make all the lines myself. Brake and fuel. I just was in a time crunch and wanted to install and go. No such luck. When I pointed out its a manufacturing error, they basically told me I was full of sh#t. I just wanted a refund, they said no.

I also used right stuff. I had an ebrake cable fail on me and they replaced it no questions asked. They took me on my word and sent it out without question and the paid the shipping!
