It's official, I'm a grumpy old man

BTW, no animals were harmed in the above post, only the owners feelings.

Here is my theory. Befriend the dog. They think its their territory and marks the neighbors yard.
If it's who I think it is, I wouldn't mind befriending the owner, too.

Buy a Motion Activated Sprinkler to Deter Animal Cats, Birds, Dogs Repellent Outdoor Lawn Motion Sensor Water Sprinkler for Garden. Great for the pet owners too, I use secondary water for it, I love to see them scream.

That's funny. I actually know a guy who did that at his shop downtown to deter the homeless folks from bathing (and defecating) on the side of his building. Worked like a charm.

I took @Bodyperson 's advice and took the sign down. I'm way too busy and already have enough stressors in my life, don't need more conflict. Now I can focus on being a better asshole in other areas, haha.

My grandparents lived WAY out, on farming land.
They used to get lost hunting dogs that would show up at the house.
They would tie them up and call the owners, but they would NEVER EVER feed them.
If they didn't have a name and phone number on the collar, they would just call Animal Control.

Similar around here. The only difference is cityiots think they want a pet, find out how taxing it is bring it to rural Manitoba let it go thinking oh some farmer will take it in. 90% of the time the pet will be looking for food get into a scrap with some farmers dog and get turned off. Just take it to the humane society. Least it stands 1/2 a chance.
