Love the color! Mine came home from the paint shop last month! One piece at a time, one step at a time.
Update Thanks to Ma Snart I found my old notchback for sale at a dealer in Florida. Here is a picture, now painted black, but definitely the same car.
I had read BB-Dave's previous post and photos. I want to thank BB-Dave...again....for allowing me to purchase my A56 4 speed notch from him. I am the original and 8th owner of the car! It took me almost a year to get it into running condition. My goal was to run it on the drag strip again like I did originally in 1969. I made comparitive passes in Oct of 2014 to what the car ran in 1969. I got it down to a to a 14:70, factored to a 14:50. (Factored drag strip at Kearney, NE) That is what it ran in 1969. The car is a survivor. I am doing some minor body work now, but it will remain very close to what it was in 1969. Photos show the car in 1969, the day I picked it up from BB-Dave and 1st long drive taken in August of 2014. That photo is taken in front of the old post office in my home town. The car set in the same spot back in 1969 also. I am very, very happy to have it back! Pa karp (Curt Rees):burnout:
Still making some, slow progress... pictures of the engine w/ new heads, front with the bumper and spoiler installed, and some old pictures from 20 years ago.
Here is my first car. A 69 notch with a 318 auto. I bought it from a little old lady in Capital Heights MD. This was the first two evolution's of change from the dented up little old lady car.:glasses7:
