FINALLY decided to run this cam. Is anyone else running it? Where did you install, how's it idle? Are you happy with it?

What's a slanty cam?

Anyhow, I thought with Lunati's popularity someone here might be running that cam.

I've heard here that it's POSSIBLE to make near 600HP with it.

I have the cam a few steps smaller than that and I absolutely love it! Its in a pretty basic 360 (If you can call a solid roller basic lol).

It makes great power and sounds pretty good. Just make sure you get everything setup perfectly. Solid rollers need to be perfect otherwise you can have problems. Also use good lifters with pressure oiling. I would recommend MRL, but there are others out there, I got about 4k miles on mine so far and they haven't missed a beat.

I'm using Mike's lifters. Ran 'em last year with a big Comp solid roller. You are right! They are outstanding. Still look perfect!

Yes, you can make 600hp with that cam. 340/360/400+?

Run a fully ported head, big tube headers and a good compression ratio. Give it a carb to breath! Signal plenum!

lol ....if you have mikes lifters why have you not talked to him about the cam as i advised you in your other post ....this cam with your combo and the right intake could be close to or above a 600/600 small block !!!!... people would kill for that ...from what you had you will think you added 4 more cylinders ...lol.....you will not regret buying this cam ....mike will back me up on it for sure ...

Hey man, of course I talked to Mike......Also the cam is ordered! Can't friggin wait!

Plopped my pistons in today and was very pleasantly surprised. Every single one was EXACTLY .008 out of the hole. Every one dead on the money. What a pleasure it is to have an outstanding machinst!

Can't do much now till the cam gets here. Lunati told me 10 days to 2 weeks.

I'm already antsy........

Y'all think I should install it at 104? It's a 110 LSA with a 104 ICL. I was thinking maaaaybeee 102?

Great to hear on the machine work results! My inclination would be to advance it that extra 2 degrees, just because you have a lot of duration and that can help the bottom end a bit... But I may tend to emphasize lower RPM street operation more than some; if for the strip, then I would look at the gearing, etc., and see if that told me where to put the cam timing. As always, check the piston-to-valve clearance.

I have a voodoo cam in the 440 and love it.
Cam and Lifters, Hydraulic Flat Tappet, Advertised Duration 268/276, Lift .494/.513,

thanks iron mike ...can put it on the wheelie bars ...lol....you will have one hell of a power plant....again JMO but that still is a large cam for those heads and you never want to give up that bottom end to get it rolling ....as i said before 102 is were i would start ... good luck x-mas coming fast in a lunati box ....lol

ooooooooo by the way i ended putting mine voodoo in a 100 after running it at 104 ...the 904 converter and my 355's needed more help down low .....

It's 3190 lbs, me in it. 4:10 gears, 28 inch drag radial. Oh, 4 speed. Still thinkin 102? Mostly street racing(yikes. I know.). But to the strip on TNT nights only.

Also come on man! I gots ta know....low 10's or 9's?

with the 410 and 4 speed that will get you going out of the hole ....being a 90% street deal you need to hook so maybe try the 104 a little softer and see ? i would degree it both ways and mark it good then its easy to just pull the cover and advance it if you need more bottom ....on the tribute car i just got it running ....only a couple test hits on my own street ....ran out of room fast had to lock here down ...need more rear brake ..lol...
