Major "Oops" - Demo'd Smokestack Falls The Wrong Way

8,000 Ohio Edison customers were left without power today when the 275-foot tall smokestack at the former Ohio Edison Mad River Power Plant fell the wrong way during demolition and fell on several pieces of power equipment.

It sounds like the explosives did not go off properly,
there were explosives still going off after the stack was on the ground.

Should have had ropes with tension on them to make sure the
stack fell over the correct way, like when cutting a tree.
