i smear some silicon on header bolt threads these days and haven't had any loosen on me since.
Took my Demon to the first cruise in of the year Saturday evening.
That sucker is perrrrty
I had mine out last week for the first time this year also...

Well I got mine out as well, after I bought a new battery of course! Arghh! First cruise in of the year is this next weekend.

Man, you would be able to hear an echo if you spoke around those rear wheels! Excellent!
I'm looking at taking the Torqueflite out and installing a 4 speed.. I have a 18 spline A833 Hemi 4 speed A body transmission. It's a old crash box. Dusted off my Mr. Gasket inline V gate shifter along with my old Lakewood blow proof bellhousing. My 4 speed linkage is on the way. I'm going with aluminum lightning rods with heim joints. I'm considering going with a hydraulic clutch. Has anyone ran a hydraulic clutch? I never have and was wondering how they performed... I'll be sending pics of my transmission and lightening rods.
The shifter will look new after I wash all the dust off of it.

I run hyd clutch and love it. I had to be a bit creative for the additional hyd resevoir.
Do they have the feel of a linkage clutch setup or feel softer?

you can tailor that by mixing and matching master and slave cylinder bore sizes.
I don't like a spongy feeling clutch. I like a firmer feeling clutch.
She cleaned up quite nicely. I wish I could find a shifter boot for this V Gate shifter. They're very hard to find. I don't know what happened to my shifter boot when I bought this shifter back in the 80's..

Exactly as @mygasser says you can make it firm or a bit soft. I would argue overall not much difference, but maybe a bit softer than traditional?
My friend and I out at the airport. My 71 Demon and his 69 GTS 440 Dart.
Mopar brought home the trophy for Best Engine today at the O'Reilly's car show I went to. The ol Demon drew quite a bit of attention. Happy to say that Mother Mopar was well represented today.
I have a brand new boot, near perfect trim ring, but i would like to sell with the shifter all as a kit.
I have a couple of these shifters. People are charging ridiculous prices for this stuff. I'll be selling a shifter complete with install kit with new boot ring minus shifter boot because the one I purchased online from someone rips apart very easily. I'll be selling the shifter and install kit very reasonable
Probably somewhere around the 250-300 dollar range for a complete setup minus the boot. I have around 200 dollars invested in it. I bought it several years ago and I'm going to pass it along to someone who needs it at a fair price. I'm not going to price gouge like I see a lot of these eBay sellers are doing. All that I'm really needing is a boot for my personal shifter that I'm installing in my Demon for the 4 speed conversion. Hopefully I'll find a decent one. I have a couple of spare brand new shifter boot plates that has the Mr Gasket logo and the shift pattern on it. If you need one let me know and I'll send you one.....
I got mine for the Charger thinking ot would be the hot set up for Bonneville, but I can't reach it from the seating position. So a standard H pattern Hurst shifter with a modified handle is what I am stuck with. I am happy with my trim ring, thanks though!!
