My 1972 Dodge demon resto begins!

-
Did the AMD people replace the rear panel? If so did they give you back the old one?

I could use it for a couple sections that are rusted on my car.

Nice car, looks like your doing a great job. I saw a pic you posted with that miloden oil pan, you will have to grind some on the passenger side of the K frame where the oil pan flares out on the front. keep up the good work

I had to cut a notch on the front passenger side of the K frame to clear my Moroso 8 qt pan also. Used a 4" Makita cutoff wheel.

Finally after 2 years in my trailer Im starting to work on my Demon again. I bought a used Rotisseri. Here are a few pictures of it.

Well I moved to Tampa and had to put the car back in my trailer in storage for over a year. Finally bought a house of my own here with no HOA! so work has started again. I started yesterday by stripping out dash, a/c box ect. I hope to have at least a weekly update but you know how life gets. Jon this car has no date for completion. Im stripping car to get it so a blasting place whom will also epoxy primer it.

How's the knee knocker a/c come out?

the only thing that got me was the hidden hook type bolt up inside the right fresh air vent. The rest was just nuts and bolts. Not sure if it will come out without taking dash out,

Made some more progress on the Demon. Almost ready for Media blasting. Also removing under coating.

Ah cool, The reason I ask is that I just picked up a 72 similar to yours, with a slant 6,california emissions, 904 auto, and factory air. Im toying with the idea of making a tribute super stock car and am not sure what ill do with the firewall openings where the factory air components come through. I will probably fill them and replicate a non air blower motor cover. I was just wondering what your plan was. nice car , ill be watching this thread!:coffee2:

I got the car media blasted and torque boxes and frame connectors installed. Also epoxy primed. What do you think??

Very smart of you to epoxy prime right away. Blast and prime, then start grinding/welding. Good game plan!

paint prep has begun. Getting some color!
