I haven't done a thread on my Barracuda, it's nothing special but this car is going to be built for comfort. I'm really unsure of what's been done to the car before me. I'm guessing the car has the original rear end, but it has a 72-73 318 under the hood. Has a front disc brake conversion, power brakes, has the big AC unit in the dash with the vents and the big vent brick, rear sway bar, and torsions.
piiiiiiiicccture time! I don't have much, my camera is in New Jersey at the moment. -________-

I've done work on the car since those pictures were taken. :D
I've had the radiator cleaned. I had REALLY good guy to do that. He took apart the radiator, brushed the terminals of the core with some brush, and soldered it back together. All for under 100 bucks. ;D

I took off the water pump only to find it was sealed with only blue silicone. -_____- I took care of that and bought a new water pump and painted it a nice blue with a coat of clear. I cleaned up the timing cover down to the bare aluminum and painted that also. Now this is where you should be getting angry. The previous owner did the wiring on the car... with speaker wire. Unbelievable. I redid the wiring all over the place with some good 10gauge wire as needed. I am very satisfied with that. :D

I took off the engine oil pan and that did have a gasket but it was covered in blue silicone. -______- I cleaned up all the silicone from under the engine and the oil pan, and the internals look fine. I am getting ready to replace the timing gears and chain. Then I will do the wiring for the spark plugs and then I'll start putting everything back together. I'm excited about that. I also powerwashed the engine bay after letting it loosen up with degreaser. I'm going to clean that up and paint it with some black heat resistant rustoleum, the kind they use on barbecues. It should look decent, plain, but decent.

While first buying the car in Tucson, tires suddenly became my enemy. The car had a flat tire on the front. I hauled it home using the rear, but along the way a tire on my car dolly went flat. I replaced it and went home. The next day a tire on my truck went flat. -___- I stored the car at a friend's house in Parker, AZ. When I was picking the car up again, I was on my way home and yet again a tire went flat on my car dolly, this time on the other side. I went back to my buddy's house and he had a spare, but it was low on air. I turned back to get some air on it and while I was resting at a gas station, this random very very generous man was knocking on my window. It scared me! You know it was a wtf? moment, but I opened the window and he wanted to talk about my car! He asked me what motor I had in my car and I let him have a look. He of course liked it and he took me over to his Jeep and he had a whole MESS of car parts in the back that he was going to scrap. He was going to give me an intake manifold and a carburetor for my car, but I didn't need them. But he did give me a really nice pair of valve covers! He refused some money for them too! Tell me when you see people like this at random. It must have been the car working with the trailer to get me turn back and get those valve covers or something! :D They aren't much, but they sure do beat my current ugly blue valve covers, and they sure beat going out to buy some brand new ones.

Must have been something in all those tyre probs after all. Good luck to you for getting the valve covers, and wasn't he a nice bloke?
Good luck with the project

Looks like a nice start. Where are the pics of the outside? lol
They're with my camera. lol I'll try to to get some with my phone in a bit.
The car has a bunch of rust. On the drivers side top rear quarters where the chrome strip is, it's rusted through and the previous owner tried cleaning it up with a wire wheel and it has a whole bunch of bondo and little plates held on with pop rivets. -____- and it has a giant crack on the passenger side spear, that's going to be fun to replace. it has some little rust here and there, but it's easily fixable.

I've hit a dead end and haven't done anything. I have a real problem, I don't have the bolts for the timing cover nor the water pump. I mean it did have bolts but they weren't the right size. By this I mean they were short by about an inch or so, you can see the scratches from the threads on the old bolts it had. Goddamn hack mechanics. Does anyone know where I can get new bolts? I'm thinking of going to my local screws and bolts shop to find something similar, oh and I have to buy a damn rethreading kit. -____-

Just go to your local hardware store for bolts. All you need is the size and length. Dont forget the thread pitch also. Mast can help you just with length and size and tell them its coarse thread.

I'll do that first thing tomorrow then, I'm ready to get this thing going. I'm going to take it to the shop at my son's college to change the differential and get the wheels balanced. :) I will get pictures tomorrow.
