fenders first to be repaired, drivers side crushed in, removed headlight mount, re contoured, welded patch panels for both fenders. Inner fenders required help too

quarters looked like swiss cheese, rockers weren't any better. Replaced by Jerry at www.cjautobody.com in Blue Jacket, OK.

more quarter panel work

frame rails by the suspension arms were in pretty bad shape, motor and k member were removed for access, at least I don't have to worry about the suspension collapsing

future plans, RHS heads and whiplash cam by Hughes Engines, 904 rebuilt and 2500 Dynamic Racing converter, front disc conversion, most important of all, get it on the road and enjoy it!

That looks good. you are moving right along. Mine is in a similar state but not quite as far along, thanks for sharing. Tell me more about your motor plans.
Andy

Thanks Andy, motor is going to be 91 octane friendly. Dozens of articles I've saved for templates for a 400hp street motor, keeping the 904 transmission as well. They're horribly underrated and can be built to take quite a bit of abuse. I have personally seen several low 11 second cars with a 904.

got the car back today, nose is pitched a little high. Needs alignment and set the height of the torsion bars. Engine bay was painted, soon the rest of the car will match. Then bleed the brakes, fix the headlights and she's roadworthy

installed 8 3/4 with new springs, put edelbrock intake, surprised how clean the lifter valley was

Used cyclone headers, 1 5/8 long tube, 3" collectors, 3" X-pipe, 50 series flow masters. Best mod so far, woke up the 318, pulls hard through full rpm range

Thanks, 318 with 670 street avenger, edelbrock performer intake, pertronix ignitor. Heads, valves, cam, compression, and converter are still stock for now. Old cyclone long tube headers. Rebuilt 904 with crt low gear set, full manual valve body, heavy duty strut and servo. 8.75 with 3.23 sg. Burnout would have been better with a line lock and a 2500 stall converter.:burnout:

Finally some pictures of both of my toys. S-10 is my first vehicle and have had it now for 15 years

ran 16.567 @ 87.99. Reaction time of 0.431 with a 2.899 60 foot time. Launched too hard and spun the tires past the 60ft marker and by the looks of the video either lost a head gasket or cracked a head. Haven't had a chance to tear down the motor and see the cause of the smoke out the exhaust
