I have narrowed hydraulic flat cam choices to one of the three below. It is going in a 1970 340 Block with X heads, 904 Transmission, RPM Air Gap Intake, 750 or 800 CFM Carb, 1500-2000 Stall Converter, Stock Stroke (ground 30), 3.55 or 3.91 gears.
I want a hot street cam, that I will take to the strip a few times a year. Still want a decent idle, nothing horrible choppy.
Cam #1: 223/234 @ .050. .480/.494 Lift. LSA: 112 RPM: 2000-4800. Crower Ultra Beast.
Cam #2: 224/230 @ .050. .477/.480 Life. LSA 110 RPM: 1600-5800. Comp XE268H
Cam #3 238/238 @ .050. .474/474. Lift. LSA 110 RPM: 2000-6000.
Mopar P4452992
For kicks my engine builder was recommending:
248/248 @ 050. .508/.508 Lift. LSA:108. Seems a little much to me
