Possibly borrowed pics. All I know is this is what I got from Nigel after ordering the "premium" strips for our 69 Swinger. Why I said to ask and confirm...

Thanks Wayne. I ordered a set.......He even has bucket seat backs. Looks like I'm not done spending yet :(

Dana, it looks like your outer piece has flocking on it, not bare rubber like Troys, am I correct?
Correct. The side that touches the glass has flocking on it. The other side that does not touch the glass is bare rubber

Sorry guys for a late response, I have not been on the site for a couple days and any alerts for some reason fall into my Spam folder which I check maybe once a week or when someone calls asking about an email or a direct question.

@CFD244, by your description, it sounds like you have a set of the Repop brand of window felts that was sold up to approximately late 2019 to 2020. Not sure if anyone is still carrying that style of felts. Those window felts were pretty much what the majority of the larger parts suppliers offered as our felts were more expensive due to the fact that we were using the original factory style materials. Those felts were basically a "squeggee" that as you rolled the glass up or down, it would hug the glass. As you roll the glass down, the felt would twist down and then roll back out as the glass was rolled up. The problem is that there was no flocking which helps to reduce the drag or friction between the glass and the seal. It will eventually start to twist and deform and eventually break as the rubber dries out and in time, it can scratch the glass if the seal or glass is not kept clean. Also, the glass adjustment is critical in sealing your glass to the roof rail seals. If the glass is not sealing to the roof rail seals, then it is most probably not aligning properly with the window felts and will cause the type issues listed above. If your using original roof rail seals and our felts and the glass is adjusted properly, then there should be no issues. Before cutting or modifying the pieces, reach out to your supplier and see what are their suggestions.

For those who have bought the Top Catwhiskers, thanks for your years of support. There have been issues with our felts, but once we have been made aware of it, we have always worked to resolve it and make the correction so that the problem is resolved. After 40 plus years, Dave and myself have made it a point to make the product as correct and financially reasonable as we can. Customers can purchase direct from our business or go through your preferred vendor, just confirm with them that you are purchasing the Top Catwhiskers.

@4spdragtop, we did have an issue with the 67 to 69 Cuda Fastback felts with a variance that a customer brought to our attention. I can bring the correct pieces to New Hamburg in August and you can pick up or I can give them to Serge for him to ship to you.

Thanks for the offer! I made it work, so no need for replacements. I only did drivers side rear, I still have the others to do. Maybe I'll bring those for you to look at and double chk?
See you at Mfest!

Stupid websites that can't handle display on phones correctly.....

I had to turn my phone sideways for it to show up.

Thanks for the reply Richard. My glass is sealing pretty good. I looked for a set of Topcat here in Ontario, but the seller says that they are on back order, with no ETA.

The current new ones that I have installed, I had cut to gain glass clearance before I wreck the regulators.

Do you have any available for a 1971 Demon?

You will not be disappointed with the Top Catwiskers

I looked at 2 different brands in a side be side comparison with my OEM. And the top Catwiskers were the closest.

I did have an issue out of the box with the Top Cat whiskers I bought for my '66. Three of the pieces had the felt portion peeling from where they should've been crimped around a bend. It was no problem at all getting them replaced from Quirey though. They're quality pieces. As with any other replacement part, just inspect them really well before installing.

I’m installing a set of Top Cat on my 69 fastback. The outside strip was about 1/8” too long and clips would not line up with slots. Sliced off the end and all ok now.

I figured I'd have to buy 2 sets for my 4-door and cut them. I've done this before, but there's a lot of massaging envolved. Kind of a pain.
