i thought i had a thread for this already but i cant seem to find it but i have finally got my car done and been driving and i noticed my right rear kept bottoming out and it sits lower than the left so i rolled her into the bay and looked at what shes got going on and my right spring is loosing its arch. I wanted new springs anyway so I was wondering what everybody here uses on their darts, not looking for super expensive but I do want some good ones, I know that doesn't go together but you know what I mean. I am after something a little more arched than stock because I want more stance than what i have. I have a 1969 dodge dart with a 7.25 rear-end and air shocks in the rear, I don't mind moving spring mounts and the end goal for this build is a street-strip car so its performance oriented. thanks in advance guys

If you get new springs you won’t need those air shocks anymore. ESPO Springs seem to be the top choice on here. I have FirmFeel but you will pay way more for them than the ESPO. When you say air shocks do you mean like highjacker. Invest it good shocks not the KYB. I had air shocks on mine until I got rid of my 50 yr old /6 leafs. You my friend are in for a joyous ride when you get rid of that stuff.

What do the ESPO springs cost? I need a set pretty bad.

You are probably not at stock height. If you go too high you can add lowering blocks if you go too low. You stay low. I have -1 so I’m lower than stock. Get an idea of your wheel tire combo together too before you buy that will change your height too.

espo is what i recommend.. they come in stock height +1" and +2" heights.. the woman there that answers the phone really knows her shit...

i'd go with the 6 leaf over their 5 leaf also...

here is how jamies dart sat with espo +1" 6 leaf springs..

I paid 550.00 for my FirmFeel considered custom order. The ESPO have great reviews.

Does @PST sell them? This site gets a discount there.

Go to your local spring shop that works on trucks . they can repair or replace your springs for 1/2 the cost . I use Monroe-Matic shocks $75.00 a pair if your are on a budget. they work great.

I took my original leafs to the local shop and had them add a leaf and it lasted about a year then sagged back down. Be scecific and tell the to repair the ends. The shop here was was going to order new ones from another company. So if they say they can replace them make sure they aren’t just buying them from someone else. If you plan on more power in the future and upgrading rear end you should upgrade those /6 leafs

on our 70 yes i have eaton.. but the op seemed to be a little more budget minded and the espo will fit that bill nicely. have used espo on our former cars and was always happy with them.. the eaton are great too just kinda expensive..

this is the stock height eatons.. i should have gotten -1". don't like how high they sit.

I have Espo 6 leaf +1" over stock.
Been on about 10 years and they have settled. Wish I had bought +2".
For comparison the gold car has Mopar XHD on it.

My '72 Swinger is sitting too low in the rear. The springs are nearly flat. I was looking at the General Spring ones too, but these say +2.5 inches. Did yours ride that high, Dan?

Here's another ESPO six leaf +1 after about five years. I'm very happy with them and the whole ESPO purchase. They knew everything I would need and it was in a pile on my driveway by the end of the week. Nice weekend project.

I got +1" Espo springs and bilsteins. In hind sight I should have gotten stock height, but I always figured I could put on a lowering kit if I didn't like the rake.

My rear end was uneven height as well, but was still even after the new springs. So keep in mind this could be a function of your torsion bar adjusters being uneven as well. Mine were that has an effect on the rear.
