Good luck. Doctors and dentists sucks!

Try not to be scared, I bet it won't be so bad and once they get you fixed up you'll feel back to your old self.

Hell its an in and out thing bud . relax ..... Most of the time you dont even stay the night . and they give you some feel good pills lol . prayers for ya

Had mine taken out a year ago, they make a couple of small incisions and basically cut it out and pull it out with mechanical fingers, just a little sore for a day and your done. did not need to change eating habits much either. Good luck. Was in Nigeria when mine flared up, put up with it till I got back state side, no cutting in Africa !

I don't mean to sound trivial, but he's right........years ago my boss 'got this' he stopped by work THE SAME DAY on the way home. Went to hospital in the morning, home on the couch by afternoon.. I think he took one day off, as I recall

Wish you the best. Any trip to 'that joint' is a concern

It is indeed a simple surgery...unless of course the docs leave something inside you like they did with Ernie. Best of luck to you Sir..

The wife had her's out a few years back. She had a fairly easy and quick recovery. And of course any surgery that's not on me is minor!

Mom had it 5 years ago- three BB size scars (one slightly larger and 1/2 moon shaped).
Lots of nausea for about 3 days.
Now she craves hot peppers- NEVER liked hot foods before.

Wife had it 2 years ago- only two BB size scars.
Nausea for a week.
She was to the point of not being able to walk!

It'll work out.

No need to be skeerd.

Had mine done, and it's pretty much a cake walk. I walked in for surgery in the morning, and walked out in the afternoon, after the surgery. Dr. wouldn't let me go back to work for 2 weeks, so I built a new porch on my house.

BD,
My you be feel OK as of my message, Hopefully, the prayers sent reached out to you...............

Hope all is well there buddy! I hate surprise ER visits. I just went myself two weeks ago and I have such a nice broken finger tip. (sarcasm! )
I crushed my two left hand finger at work. Major bummer. I can even work on a car. (Effectively that is!)

Prayers sent out for a fast and full recovery BD. Any updates you can give us would be grateful bud :glasses7:
I have to go in and drink some junk so they can look at mine today.
I hope you are on your feet and looking at your work load for the next adventure

Had mine out 2 years ago, really not a big deal. They send you home the same day. I think I was only in the hospital 6 hours. they will give you an I. V. and a small painless shot in the stomach were they will make the incision, they will give the gas and the next thing you know your in the recovery room, seems like one minute.Hardly used any of the pain pills that they gave me and I was up on my feet the next day and pretty much back to normal the day after that. It hasn't changed my eating habits and everything still comes out the same.....if you know what I mean. All in all no big deal. Good Luck

They said it wasn't going to burst,so they doppped me up and after running a bunch of tests sent me home with a liquid diet and to get off blood thinners to get it taken out this week. Thanks for all your prayers and thoughts.I liked the morpheme (so)

Thank you for the update BD. Sounds like a good move on yours and there part to get this taken
care of before it turns to an emergency operation.
I think my doc is looking for gallstones aswell as looking at my gallblater today.
Take care and thank you for this update :glasses7: Liquid diet don't sond fun but
I bet you can deal with it and get this behind you..
