OK, I think I have sort of arrived at a good solution. The work benches are going to be up against the back wall. I just don't see how else to do it.
I scrapped the idea of using the corner, I just could not make it work. I guess I will figure something out with that little step in the slab but I am not going to go nuts over it.
So I need to make a bench for the table top. I am a member of the Garage Journal. I see lots of guys over there integrating their tool boxes with their workbenches so that's my plan for that. I may get another box, the little roll around box I have is pretty much useless.
The tables don't exactly line up flush and are different heights. I can deal with the different heights but I would like a long work surface. The unfinished one is the deepest so I am going to try and line up the brown one with the front of the unfinished one. I may put a little shelf over the back splash on the brown table to fill in the space behind it.
The one on the far left is one I made. It weighs about 1,000 lbs but is relatively small. I might put a vise on that one. Not sure yet.
Cabinets and/or shelves will probably be mounted between the windows.
I will probably end up putting a compressor in the corner where the gray shelves are. For the right side wall, I looked at some heavy duty boltless shelves at Home Depot. I can get a pretty big unit for under $200. I'd rather buy one off CL for cheap but I never seem to have the time to go look at this stuff. Anyway...
Here is a mock up pic, let me know what you think.
