I'm in the process of restoring my 64 Dart GT Convert and will need to repair or replace the pot metal 'corner' trim on the top. That's not rust on the pot metal, just 'mung' from being in closed storage for 30 years waiting for me to retire (which I did in Jan). I've got a long way to go, but you've got to start somewhere! Anybody have any thoughts?

I also need the nylon/plastic trim clips and haven't had any luck finding them either. More thoughts?

Hi!

I have the same problem on my DartCharger conv. I have spoked with a company here in Sweden and they have giving me the idea to cast new ones!

The cost will be in the range of USD 3000 - 4000 for a production of 50 sets!

I guess to round up all the owners is the idea the get it started!

Any ideas?

Plastic trim clips? If they are from below belt line down side you can find suitable sub clips a NAPA alot cheaper. Also try parts shops who mix paint & supply body shops. I bought the side molding clips for my 64 Dart at NAPA I think @ 20 for < $3.00. Good Luck......

Holy crap, that comes out to $60 to $80/set, assuming there are 50 other people with the same problem willing to buy in. A nice idea, but I doubt we can make it happen. However, one never knows in this hobby, so count me in if there are 48 others out there in need.

Also thanks for the Trim Clip suggestions. I tried Laysons with no luck, but not Restoration Specialties or NAPA. That will be next.

I had even found suitable sub at the paint store for the rear reveil molding clips on back glass of my 64 Dart! Alot better than paying the $35.00 on Ebay! They were'nt exact but close enough!
