Hey guys. So I need to vent to someone and my wife said if I say one more word about the new old dart she would throw the jar she keeps my man parts in straight into the garbage disposal, so that leaves me here.
Alright, a couple weeks ago I picked up a 73 dodge dart. body is 85-90 percent good. engine and tyranny work great, but she has been sitting/started regularly for the last 10 years. needless to say she needs a little love. One of the only repairs that needed to be done immediately was the rear drums brakes. I headed down to the local zone and ordered everything. wait a day. Packages get delivered. Take them home. Open them up. . . . both drums look like they went on the machine caddywhompus, because they are shaved on one side identical to each other. No big deal. Drive back down, drop off the drums re-order, and had them throw in a few gaskets, a filter and a soda for the trouble which they did, no question. The next day comes around, and I call:
"Hey did my drums come in?"
"They're here"
"Can you take a look at them before I come down? the last pair were faulty."
"Sure. . . .They look good"
(I think you might know where this is heading)
Head back down to the zone. Open the boxes. One drum has the exact same shaved side! OK, so now I'm starting to get a little upset, but any anger is quickly alleviated when my guy tells me there is one more I can get overnight, he has been assured by someone at the origin store that it is good, and he's going to give me my money back on both drums for the inconvenience. OK, cool. So this morning rolls around. . . . just called to talk to my guy. . . . just guess. . . . .ANOTHER F**KING SHAVED, PIECE OF SH*T, MADE IN F**-- I'll stop there before I get banned from the site for saying the words that are in my head.
So here we are. I just got off the phone with regional. I told them I don't care what it takes, but I need a functioning drum today, before end of business. I do have to stress that everyone over dealt with so far has been awesome, but the product, not so much. We'll see what happens.
