Raybestos hoses are actually Sunsong. Are there any good brake hoses out there?

Do you know that the Raybestos hoses on Rockauto are not also just reboxed Sunsong hoses?
Unfortunately, Rockauto isn't an authorized seller of a lot of brands they sell. It's still a crapshoot when you buy from them too. I ran into that issue when I bought a Bosch O2 sensor from rockauto a while back. If you want to be sure, you have to buy from an authorized dealer, then verify that what you received isn't a re-boxed return. It's fucked.

I just bought some Raybestos Hose for a 65 'Dart from Rock auto in the last week, literally.......and I'll check when I get back to the house ....in fact, I've picked up quite a few items from RA that are Raybestos so I'll check em all......but kinda like RRR said, how do we know if Sunsong is a brand that'll sh*t the bed.......SMILE

As some know, I've been racing Asian cars for the last while.
I can't say I've received any Asian parts that seem low " quality ".
I get what I can from RAuto, brake hoses included, metric.
All are directly put on an active racecar.
I'm trying to rember a crap piece, but can't .
Got an Italian rear gearset that was junk .
Just saying, lotta Asian cars running 300,000+ miles.
I got a couple.

Good day all.....my Raybestos Hose from rockauto. doesn't say much about its true manufacturer ? TPI Holdings....Made by the good folks in China....I've come to learn that using a post 72' 8 3/4, it's a hard line to the wheel cylinders from the housing vent/distribution tee anyway and not the flexible hose at the corners.....

Its the same for the flexible line from the tee to the body's hard line....Country of manufacture, TPI Holdings, etc.

I'd cosign on what Inertia's experience has been with Asian parts....

Sunsong is a more than reputiable company. I have bought several of their products - fixed a friend's 2010 Terrain that had a bad OE hose that was making the caliper stick on and the Sunsong ones both fit perfect and looked to be great quality. It's only been 4 months but there have been no issues. I would use them over Dorman 100/100 times.

I would ABSOLUTELY not use 20, 30, 40, 50 year old NOS brake hoses. EPDM rubber breaks down over time regardless of if it had fluid or not.
